Hey, I haven't used the bar, but I have used the foaming cleanser...I quite liked it, didn't dry my face out, but really removed all the days wear.I've bought it on several occasions, so good for an inexpensive cleanser.Hope the bar is as good.

Thanks MissGolightly! I emailed Simple today and they said it is a Facial Cleansing Bar so it's specially formulated for the face and is absolutely fine to use for the face and even for the body. It has no perfumes, colours or additives and has pure glycerin in it so it won't dry my face. It's a clear, quite large bar and was relatively cheap for a facial cleanser only £1.38 which is cheap!

I was loving Dove's Cream Bar for sensitive skin but I think Dove is just a bit too creamy for my face right now but will be perfect in the winter.

I used to use the Foaming cleanser but for some reason my skin just didnt feel cleansed properly. In all fairness though, that's because I don't feel clean unless I've used a soap style product as I find they remove all the days pollution and Make up!

I'll let you guys know how the bar goes!

I might have to check this out!

Well I used it last night and this morning and I have to say I'm impressed!

It cleans my face really well, takes off all my make up and doesnt sting my eyes and it makes my face squeaky clean but not in a dry tight way. It lathers well too and I feel fresh and clean! I put my regular moisturiser on and when I woke up this morning I wasn't shiny like I usually am. Usually by this point of the day too (10.30am) I have a shiny chin and cheeks and I haven't!

Definitely check it out Katie! It's kept with body soaps in Boots but it says Facial Cleansing Bar.

Iv been using this for the last few weeks because i cant seem to find dove sensitive anywhere! so i had to find something new and iv always liked simple so i thought id give this bar a try and i havent really had any problems with it! except i dont like the smell even though it is unscented, it still had this weird pong to it but the smell doesnt last so im ok with it. Iv also noticed my face isnt as oily as it usually is and I love how it lathers, the more it lathers the cleaner i feel! Glad your liking it so far.

Becky have you looked in a larger Boots store or Tesco or Asda - something like that? They only sell the sensitive in the two pack ranges over here not single bars and they'll be with the body soaps.

I used the Simple Bar for a night and a full day and my skin felt tight and dry, I did feel fresh with it though and it lathered wonderfully but even after using my Olay Complete I felt dry still - did you get this initially? I also woke up with 3 spots this morning so immediately went back to my Dove Sensitive. Maybe there's too much Glycerin in it for me??

Sorry it broke you out! yes it made my skin very dry after i washed it but it was ok with my moisturiser though. Iv looked in a few big boots stores and my moms been looking in the supermarkets but i still cant find the darn thng but ill keep on looking, ill try looking in superdrug next. You know thinkng about it i do still get the odd break outs but i always thought it was my avon 2 step facial peel and it was just bringing the old spots back out. I did start using both products at the same time so maybe it could be the bar breaking me out instead, hmmm well i run out of the peel next week so ill know if it the simple bar thats breaking me out.

That's weird that you can't find the sensitive Dove. If you need me to get you a bar let me know and I'll post it on for you!

Yeah I used the Simple Facial Cleansing Bar and the next morning I'd got 3 big zits. Thankfully the Dove is calming them down now so I'll never stray from Dove again.

(Jennifer will be ROFL at me! lol!)

lol just kidding!!

I do find that the Dove does sometimes break me out because it's quite rich and my skin is quite oily but I can't use stuff with salicylic acid in because they're usually too harse! I am awkward aren't I

UPDATE:

Well I just had to stop using the Dove bar because my skin kept breaking out and was a bit greasy so I continued using the Simple Facial Cleansing Bar and I have to say I'm totally in love with it! It's made with pure glycerin and is fragrance free and completely erases my oily patches. Even when I wake up in the morning I find that my skin isn't in the slightest bit oily, I'm less oily through the day and it cleans my skin really well without it feeling tight. I have to say my skin glowing!

I would recommend this anyone cos it's really good! I'm gutted about my Dove but I think it just stopped working for me or is a bit rich for my skin at the moment but maybe once winter comes I can start using it again for it's richness and it was cheaper so I do miss that!

This bar is about £1 more expensive but at £1.99 it still cheaper than Clarins etc!

Glad your finally loving it, im still not sure if its the bar that was breaking me out i only finished the peel a few days ago so ill see if i get any breakouts next week. I hope not

my skins only just started to get better.

Aww hun I know what it's like when your skin plays up - makes you feel gross! Keep hanging in there it'll get better soon. I don't think the humidity and heat we've been having really helps much either though

I wouldnt wear make up if I was sunbathing as it might start to clog the pores with sweating but the sun can help to dry them up but can also make your skin quite dry too. It could be that you're allergic to one of the ingredients that's in your facial peel

But then i got thinking that i used the bar at the same time too but i will let you know how my skin is getting on next week.
