Interesting! I'm definitely going to try this. I have olive oil and that's it. I always thought oil clogged pores?
Mineral oil, as it is sometimes called, i think would clog pores, it's just pure grease. But in the OCM we're using natural oils that mimick your skin's sebum so they're very well tolerated. You will however have more or less success with different oils as we're all different. In the OCM the oil is applied and massaged then rinsed so the only way i see a possibility to have pores clogged is if you left any residue on your face.

Diva : i realise reading myself i was maybe implying to use it pure, but yes it wouldn't come to my mind to use it pure. Thanks for clarifying this point.

You and I would know... I just don't want someone else to use STRAIGHT castor oil because that would be disastrous!

Okay...so I tried using Olive Oil. That's all I had and just did it. My skin did feel very smooth afterwards, but then my pores seemed to have exploded. The pores on my nose especially seemed like I had some volcano craters. Lol...Oh dear, I can tell I need more work on this. I'm thinking of getting some Almond Oil. I've heard that is excellent for your skin.

I do this seasonally when it comes to my tonics, facial wash soaps/ foams...etc but I only use 2 creams from Uriage AHA for night care (2 -3 times a week) and everyday night and day care URiage combined - oily skin.

I have tried shock treatment with facial creams but only got horrific skin issues

I advise for more complex skin to regularly go to a dermatologic for deep cleaning once a month.

The only time I use olive oil on my skin (never face) is during summer time when I make my own DIY sun lotion. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

only for medium -darker skin and or people who are exposed to strong sun beams, a lot, basically if you live next to the ocean sea or any other similar warmer - hot climate

Rather than wasting money on products that don't work, why not spend the money on a session with a Dermatologist.

I'm sure that they can easily diagnose your skin and put you on a great routine with reasonably priced products.

Excellent advice ... I agree

Dermatologist...I definitely agree. I think I should just do that and then whatever products they suggest I'd like to look into them and see what ingredients are in them so I could produce some creations for the future. =]

Thank you ladies...awesome advice once again.
