SEPHORA: VIB Rouge

All my orders are canceled and I even placed them with different cards so sephora couldn't say it was my card not allowing the multiple orders.

All my orders were over $5 and most were $27...I still have the extra points h34r: /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> But this sucks because I really wanted the things I ordered. Maybe I'll reorder all together and get a promo too.

i used a sephora gift card for some purchases and a few were cancelled as they could not verify payment! of their own gift card!! coo-coo!!

i just rec'd my first ysl lippie -  it was out of it's gold box in package, top off and lipstick is smushed on top from flying around box i suppose during shipping - i ordered a white powder during VIB and it looked like it had snowed in my box as it was everywhere! i find if i don't place a large order the items gets tossed about! 

i picked up the bare minerals 500 point perk and blush is pretty on quick swatch, cute set if anyone is looking for something with some spare points, hehehe!!

i tried on the YSL and i am not loving the feel or strange taste of YSL, i had visions of yummy mango as i probably watched too many you tube videos! it is the rouge volupte formula in 01 beige.....do y'all love this formula? am i missing something?

i love bite, chanel glossimers + TF lippies, did TF just kill it for me to try others?!?

I am concerned about the age of things though since they have no qualms selling the elemental stuff from the orange year that's what 2 yrs ago?

now that i see this, it's making me think my new lippie has been through WWII

Oops now that I double checked it actually let me keep the points. Sorry to start a vicious rumor (lol). Who knows, Sephora may end up taking them back anyway but not yet.

i would think it would cost them more to take the points back by having accounts audited - have they done this before? 

my 500 point perk i just rec'd is cute and all but def would fit right in with a doll house in terms of size!

Hey I have no issue using old things, my issue is selling them. I think at some point Sephora just needs to take the hit not peddle it back to us and hope we don't notice

No, as far as I know they've never taken points back. Not long ago they had a code that was 150 free points with any purchase and many people (myself included, oops) used it more than a couple times. They let us keep the points even though I doubt it was in the spirit of what they intended.

I'm not sure how difficult it would be to audit those who "abused" the fragrance code but agree it's a strong possibility it wouldn't be worth their time.

I love YSL lippies, but my favorite formulas are the shine ones and the candy shine (sheer).  I wasn't as big a fan of the regular rouge volupte, they were too streaky/chalky for my tastes.  I don't remember exactly what, but I know I did not like the fragrance/taste that gets in my mouth of those regular volupte ones compared to the shines/candy shines.

This happened to me on Black Friday. I placed a bunch of orders to maximize the promos and they were all cancelled because they couldn't verify payment, even though I was using store credit. Such a bummer.

Then I sent an e-mail asking what was up and they told me that my account was banned because they saw multiple BI cards associated with my address. But when I called the hotline, they said they couldn't see any issues on their end and they were able to place an order and I've been able to place online orders as well.

I couldn't believe they would just casually tell me in an e-mail that my account was be cancelled when it wasn't.

I also noticed some of the products in the sale section are things I picked up at the sale LAST year! It must still be safe to use, especially if it's a powder product, but I have to wonder about the continued efficacy of a product that's years out from its manufacture date, even if it's never been opened.

I have shipping orders for all my orders except todays for the 6 polishes. I did redeem points on both $1 orders though. Im wondering if they cant canvel if you redeem or if Im just so not a threat lol

I placed 6 orders (all got points, dollar amounts ranged from $1 to $15; did not redeem any points on any of the orders). Just got shipping confirmation on four of them, still waiting on the other two.

I loooove YSL, the Rouge Volupte Sheer Candy is divine, and the Gloss Volupte is my HG lipgloss.

..... Tom Ford on the other hand, I think is terrible, and waaay over priced. For $50 the Lipstick Queen Silver Screen lipsticks are a much better formula. So, it is all just personal preference! I won't buy any more TF lipsticks, but I can't wait to get more YSL!

Even powders are only "supposed" to be good for 24 months. That means when you buy it there's a chance something could be or will be wrong with it soon. A retailer of cosmetics should be sensitive to this. I personally make the choice to use old cosmetics but that's my personal choice. Someone new to sephora or buying for someone else has no way of knowing that is (way) old product. I'm not sure how I'd fix it from a retail standpoint but from a consumer standpoint it's disappointing.

Yay!!! I wonder how early this will start!!! There are actually lots of things I want from the sale section right now.... plus, with that 250 points glitch, it's even more incentive! I hope we get more than a day ahead..... it'll be so awesome!!!!

Speaking of expiration dates.... I noticed something that kind of disturbs me.  They say to replace mascara every 3 months, some say 6.  I tend to use it 3-4 months, depending on how fast it dries up/is empty.  

Yet I looked as my Shisedo mascara primer, and it has the open lid icon with 24 moths on it!  Toss out after 24 months of being opened?  1--How can that last 24 months if used regularly.. 2- gross!  All that bacteria etc.  

How can a primer be listed as that much longer than a mascara, it is basically clear mascara anyways?   

In other news, my order placed with the extra points shipped today!  (and if you order the Nest wasabi pear products-they'll come from the Baltimore warehouse, lol).

I have really old mascaras, as long as they do what I need them to do I don't toss them. I've never had an issue with them, really other than really liquidy things separating to the point where you can't incorporate them or things drying out, I don't have mush issue with my cosmetics. I do need to do a cull (just things that are done), I started a few months ago and forgot about it.

I'm sorry, your whole sentence confused me...'elemental stuff from the orange year'...what does that phrase mean?  (sorry, my best guess is that Elemental is a brand - you just didn't capitalized - or - like bare minerals maybe it isn't supposed to be...moving on...and then the orange year...like 'orchid' was the color for 2014 was there a year that orange was the color??  HELP ME!!  PLEASE!!  LOL!!!)

And I only want to know because it seems an important reference for something I should look out for when ordering from Sephora's sale section.  And I may or may not have placed 3 orders from their sale section today.   h34r: /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> But not for points...I don't even know if I received bonus points as I didn't see them jump out at me LOL!    Thank you!!

Its like their pantone colors there was a set of elemental orange/red lipsticks, at least. It was elemental colors,then emerald then orchid.

Damn.  This is where I have such a disadvantage!  I probably bought something old...but was NEW TO ME!  Ugh.

Do you know if the Tarte (four square) eye shadow is old?  I hadn't seen that before.

There were 4 total Tarte shadows/palettes.  One of them I bought earlier in the year (the one with the two blushes on the left) and the other two I didn't buy because I just went palette happy these past couple of months and I have too many, I am starting to gift them away...
