Fyi got my order yesterday with the skii samples. if anyone is interested they are the size of a thumbnail. Really wish I hadn't use that code.

It was like that last time they had a skii code. It's kuz that brand is so expensive. I don't think they normally give samples at all.

I received the Tarte powder in Light yesterday, and it seems very dark and yellow to me to be called "Light." To be fair, I am fair, and there is a full size Fair option that would almost certainly be a better match...but then again, it looks pink-based from their swatches, but not necessarily lighter. @@tweakabell Is the Light color really that much lighter than the medium and tan shades, or was that some sort of auto white balance correct on the camera making it look lighter than it is?

Nope it really looks like that, it almost blends completely into my skin. The tan and medium I could use as bronzers, lol

I will say though that I am light. Not fair, not porcelain. Mediums are usually too dark for me but I will never be in the bottom shades of a high end brand lineup (I'm usually last or second to last when there's only 8 shades at the drugstore).

2 of my orders came today and the new foundation I picked is a dead on match!!! Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!!!!

I also had all 3 colors of the Tarte powders sent (more happy dancing), the SK-II samples are a joke considering they were with a $35 purchase! But they came with the foundation so I still consider that order a WIN.

Also my neighbor with a motorcycle (who revs it up for 15 minutes every time he leaves) is moving...could this day get any better!?!?! :w00t: :sunshine: :flowers: :mussical:

And the motorcycle dude moving is probably the best news! We had a beagle as a neighbor for few years that was left outside all day long and would bark constantly. I couldn't stand to have my windows open. I nicely complained once and they told me I could shoot it with an arrow if I wanted. Weird as I was never seen using a bow and arrow. Neighborhood noises can be sooo irritating.

Since they're a Japanese brand it's very possible, most East Asian countries put the mfg date instead of expiration. @@SaraP maybe that site that tells you when cosmetics expire if you type in the product ID/batch # (I'm assuming that's what the string of numbers under the date is?) can provide more info? I don't know if they cover "deluxe" samples too.

@@Kookymama It's was Estee Lauder Double Wear, I have it already in Cashew and had to mix it. This new one is Honey Bronze.

Now I'll spend the next few weeks trying out different combos of primer, sunscreen, powder, but to have a color in a foundation I love is fantastic. I still have 3 others that I like...but ya know always looking for my one true love!

First off, the fact that its expired is really ridiculous. What is wrong with Sephora these days? Where is the quality control?

Secondly, this sample size is a joke. They can make you the same sample size in store for free with no purchase.

Wow. Why even have a dog if you're going to neglect the poor thing and not even care if (s)he's murdered? My old neighbors took care of a friend/relative's dog for a few days once and they kept him outside all day in the 105+F heat with minimal shade. He howled the entire day and they didn't give a crap. I gave them a day to see if they would figure out that he really needed to be inside before figuring out if I needed to call an animal rescue or something but his real owners picked him up so I didn't have to do it.

It might also be December 5th, 2013 but that's still a good 13-14 months ago, and I would not be putting something like that on my face. The size of the samples was already a freaking joke especially with the image in email they sent about the promo that implied they were actually deluxe sized, but to be over a year old too?! Ffs, sephora (and Sk-II - either they provided sephora with the samples without checking to see how old they were, which is a bad business practise when y'know, you're trying to entice people to buy your products, OR they just didn't care. I'm not sure which is worse tbh).

Someone in my hubbys family (won't name names) is horrible, they leave the dog outside in the rain and cold (it's CA, so not that cold, but still), their cat roams and looks mangy...I'm tempted to take them and rehome them.
