Hmm, I tried it on mine (haven't gone through with it yet), and it worked without the full $50. That doesn't mean that it won't be cancelled by Sephora, though.

EDIT: Here's the fine print: "Offer may not be applied toward eGift certificates or gift cards or to merchandise orders under $50; attempts to do so will invalidate eGift certificate or gift card purchase amounts at online checkout."

I don't know it that means the $15 discount will disappear/not work if I try to put in my credit card info and send, or if I try there will be a big flash of angry red Sephora light and then the card won't work even if I try again with the full $50, or if they'll ban me from ordering online. 

EDIT AGAIN: I think it worked because my cart was, like, $110 full, then I removed a bunch of stuff to see what would happen, and the $15 off stayed there.

I think I remember that one year someone was able to use their discount twice: once at Sephora inside JCPenney and once online. I could be mistaken though, and there's no way of knowing if that's the case this time.

yup. i also put my cart up to $72 (one $50 item, one $12 item) then applied the gift card, went back to my cart and took out the $50 item. It looked like the gift card was still applied despite only having the one $12 item in there but when I hit the "place order" button it says The Holiday Reward Card requires a $50 minimum purchase. 

Even though it looks like it was applied.

They had multiple years to fix it actually. 

I did hear that they did a complete overhaul of their system a couple months ago.  A SA in store told me that in Oct or early Nov.

Does anyone know how to get sephora's samples to switch up?  I had some stuff in my cart (including my favorite shampoo/conditioner packet) and then somehow it changed, and I can't get it to change back.  I think the shampoo/cond was new, and now it's showing me what I've been seeing all last weekend.  I don't understand why it changes like that!  I just want my shampoo!!

@@nerdi If the sample is available you should be able to delete the ones currently in your account and select new. I don't think we can shuffle what is there. The sample offers are what they are.

@@goldendarter ~ Just when I settled on getting that palette after much debate, poof! I noticed it was out. Bummer. I placed an order without it and am hoping for another deal, promo or some such thing so I can purchase it when it does come back. I rationalized that the coupon was just the coupon. I could spend $200 and I will still get the same amount off. Might as well do another order during another promo.
