Has anybody here tried the Kate Somerville Anti-bac clearing lotion?

I'm having hormonal acne (which I now topical stuff doesn't prevent), but they are taking for-ev-er to heal up and go away and some are leaving bumps. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />    I've always been a salicylic acid person, and this is ben. peroxide, which I don't have much experience with.  I don't seem to be having much luck with any acne stuff these days.
I've heard that benzoyl peroxide is better for cystic acne deep under the skin, and salicylic acid is better for acne already on the surface (e.g. blackheads) and keeping pores unclogged. Beware that BP can bleach your towels and pillowcases.

I haven't tried the KS product, but I did recently go to the dermatologist about a month ago and he gave me Epi-Duo, which is basically 2.5% benzoyl peroxide + Differin (a retinoid). I gotta say, it works so much better than any OTC product that I've tried. It also really helps fade scars. I've been feeling comfortable enough to leave the house makeup-free for the first time in a while. I'm kicking myself for not going to the derm a while ago. If the OTC stuff isn't working for you, I'd recommend bringing in the big guns.

That has been my experience as well (benzoyl working better for under-the-skin/cystic acne). When I was younger, I never broke out a lot, but I always had ONE pimple, and it was always the under-the-skin kind. Benzoyl works best IME.

looks like sephora has wised up and changed the UD mascara description to just "Urban Decay Perversion Mascara (0.1 oz)".  :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Okay, I think I'll hassle the parking garage to visit Sephora for a sample then.  It is supposed to have high ben. peroxide with hydrating whatevers so your skin doesn't dry out.  We'll see, lol.  Thanks for the reminder about the bleaching effect!!!  I'd hate to ruin my new sheets!

@@normajean2008 ~ That sounds like the right cream for me too. I need something really hydrating. My makeup can look like crap if that undereye area is not moisturized well. Thank you for the review. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Just remember less is more with this gel cream.  It is super incredibly hydrating, so if you use it in the morning and put too much your makeup might not set all the way.  I just put a tiny pin prick on each eye and it seems to do the trick, and never have makeup issues that way.

I hope you like it!

Got my latest $1 order cancelled.  First time ever, still let me keep the bonus 150 points though which is crazy.

I am considering getting the meteorites everyone has been raving about...but I don't know which ones to get.  Can you (any/all) please tell me which one(s) you like?  I'm thinking the Powder for the Face in Dore 04, or the gold d'etoiles one.

BTW - only considering a Sephora order due to code ROUGESKIN - 3 item Algenist goodie bag - complete with the bag! LOL!

The ones everyone is talking about right now is the holiday edition. You might want to try the original ones first though

Do u have the new holiday ones?

Do they have that scent the original ones have?

I want them but that scent turns me off so bad :/
I ordered them but I haven't received them yet :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I'd guess that they have the same scent, though. I can see how it would be off-putting to some!

@ These are the originals http://www.sephora.com/meteorites-powder-for-the-face-P266308?skuId=1578285

There's also these, though I've never tried them: http://www.sephora.com/meteorites-perles-du-paradise-P377700?skuId=1467109 (To those that have tried these and the other, why are these $10 more? They look bigger and I know they come with that puff and are for the chest area too, is that it?)

There is also these, which a lot of people go nuts over: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/guerlain-meteorites-voyage-compact/3081946?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=2375500&fashionColor=&resultback=320&cm_sp=personalizedsort-_-searchresults-_-1_1_D

Since you wanted the 04-Dore colors, you might like the holiday collection since they both look really warm. Though the holiday collection looks like it might give a little more shimmer than the originals. They're sort of similar to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders in purpose; they're not setting powders but rather finishing powders, meant to give that "lit-from-within" glow (cheesy, I know, but I love them). They're also a nice bit of luxury in your makeup routine. The effects vary from person to person; I love them, but I didn't expect that much from them. I also actually love the scent.

Hope this helps! I'd start with the originals, but if you think you love the holiday collection go ahead and go for it first because they might sell out- but if you don't love them, remember they are a little more shimmery than the originals.

Thank you so much for all of that insight!  So so helpful!  I'm going for the holiday ones, I think. LOL!   I am violating my no buy from Sephora for a few promo codes (yep, got sucked in) and shopping from my loves list (my justification?), and thought I should do a one-time or holiday buy too (more justification?) so I don't miss out if some things sell out fast (and even more shameless justification!).  The meteorites seem so popular I wanted to be sure to get those (the only possible conclusion...BUY BUY BUY!). LOL!! Thanks again!

I like! Again, i think that's a good bet. If they seem too shimmery when you get them, go for the originals in the 04 Dore- the originals aren't shimmery, much closer to the Hourglass powders :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I wouldn't be surprised if the holiday kind sell out fast (but like @@Shalott said, what sells out and doesn't at Sephora is always hard to predict and confusing). Still, the holiday packaging is sooo beautiful I knew I was going to  get it no matter what! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> When you get them let me know what you think!

I love the 04 Dore, it looks so beautiful. Honestly, even if the scent didn't bother me, I think I still want them. But that price tag.. :/ mmm..

Something to dream about haha.

Scent on things usually gives me headaches, let me know when u get them what u think, if they smell or not lol!

Allergy to scents sucks :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Do u apply urs with the puff? all over, or just certain areas?
