OMG I literally just spend 2 days cleaning out my stash....I have a floor to ceiling cabinet...I used empty glossy b oxes and seperated all lip products, all eye products, all cleansers, etc into boxes.  I made a bunch of my friends goodie bags with all the make up bags I have accumulated of stuf I will never use but have been holding onto for some reason  I have a medium Sephora box if just perfumes (134 to be exact), another of foils (I had them separated into birchboxes, but it took up too much room.)  I am making a bag each week of an eye product, face product, lip product, moisturizer, mask, cleanser, hair product, and body product that I have to try.  I will never get through them if I don't come up with some kind of system.  I am a serious hoarder.  I hate using them cause then they are gone:-(

Anybody need any makeup bags, let me know.  Between Ipsy and GWP I have a hundred...

I need makeup bags!  My mom and I are putting together makeup bags for teen girls in foster care - Little makeup kits for them to use so they can go to prom. We're collecting makeup bags and samples, so I'd love to take some bags off of your hands!

There's a link in my signature with more information about our project and the charity we're doing this for if you're interested.

Thank you for thinking of me and the troops!  I very well might, my contact in AFG's returning in 2 weeks time and I'm awaiting a recommendation contact from him that I can continue the little 'Operation Beauty Delpoyment' with.

My heart goes out to them, now that tension's gotten worse there, supply are really constrained and even if the ladies there want to purchase stuff on line, just about all retailers won't ship to APO and that really leaves them stranded.  They are out there for a year, taking showers twice a week and getting in terms of skin care or beauty products what the average military men get.  If any ladies have a contact or friend in the military, it's a really fun thing to undertake for youself :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />...

Could you hang on to the extras for me?  I'll also get back on the hair products too, so sorry for the delay.  Am trying to fight health insurance on time-sensitive spinal injury testing and surgery stonewalling and next step is NYC assembly member.

Oh just read ewiggy's post, what a good idea!  There!  A happy home for some surplus  :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />...  I think we have a great community!  Grow all our flowers pretty and strong.

that's awesome! i'd redeem my points i ever see that perk.

So I got the OH Ultimate lift eye gel as one of my pick twos with the recent VICESWAP promo and while I don't have much in terms of wrinkles around my eyes, I can totally feel it working every time I use it.  Probably worth checking out if you need an "eye lift."  I've been pretty impressed with the other OH products I've tried via samples recently too.  On another note…anyone receive their double points yet?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hoards these samples! I've been compiling them into groups, organizing them. Pefumes, skincare items, etc. that I will DEF use are going into Glossy boxes and other boxes I have, and those I know I'll never use are being put into baggies for donation. This is going to take a WHILE to finish, but I figure if I put in an hour everyday it'll be done by the week, hopefully (yes, there's THAT much. Again, it's embarrassing how much of a hoarder I am).

Watching Hoarding: Buried Alive last night helped the process, a lot.

i also sold a bunch of samples on ebay. i sold a lot of 9 men's fragrance samples for $9.50... also various women's fragrance samples. even the foil/deluxe... i collect them by brand and sell them by the lot. this quickly decreases the amount of samples i have, and the money quickly adds up in my paypal account. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

good luck with the sorting! it's both fun and tedious!

Also, if anyone loves those $1 Sephora shower caps, hit me up and I'll send some to you. I have plenty in every scent. You can imagine how I acquired a lot of these...

Also, I will try to list the samples I think you gals might be interested in. It's a free-for-all. I'll list 'em, if you want 'em, you can have 'em, no trade necessary :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

This is what my mom said I should do, but I thought there was no way it would be profitable enough to make all the extra work necessary. How quickly did they sell? (Just wondering). I might have to do this!

i don't sell anything lower than $8....so that helps making it profitable. the men's fragrance lot sold after 30 minutes of listing...it varies...some a few days, or several days....but everything sells eventually. it really quickly adds up before you notice it. i made $290 in 6 days selling samples, full size, deluxe products, and such. just stray stuff from my stash that i know i won't use ever, or won't use in the near future (and they'll just spoil or something). i agree that it can be a lot of work...but if you can come up with a system on shipping stuff, you should be fine. i consider walking to the post office exercise! ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Sweet! The sample selection just went from all men's cologne all the time to pretty awesome! Now to find a code...

ETA: The mystery Laura Mercier 100 point perk is apparently "Laura Mercier Bronzing Primer"

Also, the Daisy mini is adorable!

Just wanted to chime in you'd be SHOCKED what people pay for samples... mainly because you know they're free.

At one point, I had a deluxe sample of Kiehl's Facial Fuel I got for free when they were running a Deluxe Samples with purchases sale.  I bought the $11 small Creme de Corps to get the nice samples.

But sold the free same for $13 + shipping on ebay.

Paid for the whole order!

I am definitely interested and would gladly pay for shipping :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  I love those and am planning an out of state drip for 81 8th graders.  I could use some goodies to relieve the stress on the trip :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

When you are figuring out if it makes sense for you to sell on eBay, don't forget that eBay and Paypal deducts about 15% of your selling price.

One can make some profit but it's like just enough to justify the activity or slightly more then break even and really not that much fun as an acitivity.  I think it's good to do for spring-cleaning or thinning out your stuff.

In essence you are a sales person for that particular brand.  Entry sales make $25,000 with 7% cut, are you undercutting your own time in opportunity cost?

But if you have the excess time capacity and you ENJOY selling on eBay as a recreation then that's a differen scenario.
