I have a silly question for all my lovely Sephora experts - I bought $50 worth of stuff for my Secret Santa ladies, and now that I've seen them post more and update their list, I've changed my mind about a few things.  So I'm going to be returning them, using the prepaid label.

Here's my question.  Because any return will drop me below the free shipping @ $50 amount, will they refund me the cost of the returns MINUS the shipping cost?  (Ex:  I return $10 worth of merchandise, will they refund $10 - $5.95 shipping?)  I would assume not, and this would be the first time I've ever returned something so I don't think it would be seen as me trying to "game" them by ordering a bunch of stuff and making returns just to get free shipping.  I just wanted to check.

Also, I think if someone did keep doing that, I think Sephora would flag the account for having to pay return postage all the time, which is probably outside of their contract for regular shipping.

I'm also really long-winded and rambly this morning - sorry!

Sephora won't make you pay for the shipping if you return an item and the total puts you below $50.

I will say though, when I purchase anything at Urban Outfitters I make sure my order total is at least $50 before I place an order .  They have free shipping on any $50 or up order.  Their price for shipping for any item under $50 is $10!  So if I order a $20 shirt I would have to pay $10 in shipping which I think is complete ********.  I order the item in multiple sizes and return the ones I don't need.

The girl laughed and said no, that's the whole point of Flash/Rouge. I was excited to get this news but also felt like I needed to get it in writing to show people, so I wrote to them as well. Anything covered is just my personal info (I don't know why I hid my name- what are you guys going to do, send me samples to death?? :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />) but anyway, here it is:

Good for you for being proactive about it and just going right to customer service to find out for yourself.  I appreciate the extra effort to get something in writing as well.

Your post should be a sticky, imo.

Thank you so much!  And that is a genius way to get free shipping for your clothing!

I didn't go through all the past pages of posts that I didn't read, but I got a catalog in the mail yesterday from Sephora and on the back is said that they were going to have some $10 sets or something like that on Black Friday! :) Sorry if that is super old news, but I didn't see it in the last couple pages so I thought I'd mention it.

Ugh, I so wish I had flash shipping! I really want to try that nars blush but I just ordered stuff a couple days ago. I always try to wait until I have at least $50 in my cart since I want the free shipping. The next time I will probably order from sephora would be black Friday but this probably will be gone by then. Decisions, Decisions...

Ordered the Nars blush too.  I don't think it will work for me, either because of the color or the glitter, neither of which I'm personally drawn to, I'll have to see it in person, but the price was too good to pass up, should make a good gift for somebody.

Assuming of course I don't get an email that it's sold out, lol.

Even with shipping it's still a really good sale price for the blush.  $15.95, instead of $29.  And ebates is 8% right now.

Do you like it?

It's nice. Not great staying power, but I have oily skin. The color is not very obvious on my medium to tan skintone, but I use it under my pink/peach blushes for added color or alone for a natural flush. It's a pretty blush and definitely worth $10.
