I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer. First of all I use Clairol Loving Care Color Cream #745 Medium Reddish Brown and I can't find it anywhere. I have looked in CVS, Brooks, Walmart and Target and it's not there anymore. They may have discontinued it and I was wondering if anyone is using this color and can't find it either?

The other question is that the type of color I use is considered semi permanent. I just pour it on my hair in the shower and wait 10 minutes. It's one of those colors that doesn't get mixed with other ingredients.

IF CLAIROL IS DISCONTINUING THIS COLOR IS THERE ANOTHER BRAND OF SEMI PERMANENT HAIR COLOR THAT I CAN USE? I tried Sally Beauty, but they only have Clairol in the semi permanent colors. Is there a new trend going on in hair colors and are they replacing the semi permanent colors with hair glazes?? I'm frustrated as hell because I don't know what is going on. I think my hair salon has semi permanent colors, but they only use them if they apply them and I can't afford to have that done twice a week. Besides I don't need them to do it. Are there any hair color specialists that can recommend a new brand? For now I am mixing Auburn with Medium Golden Brown, but it's a pain because if I don't mix the right proportions it comes out too dark. Sorry for blabbing on, but this is really causing me a big problem. I would appreciate anyone's input and thank you so much in advance.

My stylist uses Clairol's Jazzing hair color. I have highlight in pomegranate that I have foiled.:clap

I have seen that Jazzing in the stores. I'm confused though, does your hairdresser use the Jazzing to put more color in your hair when it starts to fade even though you highlight it? Is Jazzing a glaze or just a semi permanent.

Thanks

My stylist does my highlights using foil. He then uses the Jazzing as the color because it is more mild on the bleached hair than permanent color. He then applies a glazing on top for additional shine. My highlights are beautiful (I get compliments all the time.)

It sounds like your hair must look beautiful and shiny. Do you find that the Jazzing fades fast? What color is it again? Is pomegranate a deep shade of red?

My stylist made a mixture of the color. My hair highlight is very similar to a pomegranate which is a reddish brown. Think of the colors of leaves in the fall. Jazzing does not fade fast at all.:clap

It sounds like what I am looking for. When you say your stylist made a mixture of color, are you talking about the highlight or the jazzing? I forgot did you tell me the color of Jazzing you are using? It's just that I can't read it right now since I am typing. I'll go back and check and if you didn't, please tell me if you can. Forgive my memory if you did. BTW, you are a big help.

Thanks

Joy

I only remember one of the colors that he uses which is either a copper or brown Jazzing and then he uses Creme Soda Jazzing and he mixes them. The two colors are applied for highlighting purposes. My natural hair color is jet black. The highlight really stands out rich and strong.:clap

Boy, your stylist sounds like he/she knows a lot about coloring. Your hair must be beautiful. Thank you so much for all the information you have shared. I'm still hoping that others reply. I have learned so much from people like you.

Hi, I think I used it once, but it is a color that is mixed with another chemical. I know it is not as strong as permanent hair color, but it is a higher level of hair color than I want to use. I just want it all in one bottle. I do permanently have my hair colored every three months, but I maintain the color with the Clairol Loving Care Color Cream which is basically harmless. No chemicals to speak of. Thank you for the suggestion as it is a good color choice for me.

I really like L'Oreal Color Spa --- gives me great long lasting results, and the colors are really true & vibrant .. but it has to be mixed. Jazzing is a good option for a temp. rinse though.

That's my frustration because I don't want use anything that is mixed. My hair doesn't hold color well because I have 1/4 gray and red is hard to keep. Maybe someday I'll have to be a light or medium golden brown, but the reddish brown is so flattering on my skin tone. Thanks for trying to help.

Yeah... thats the problem with rinses... they only coat the hair, they don't penetrate. Which is why they don't last long. The ones you mix come with the developer, which opens up the hair cuticle & allows the color to penetrate. You really need it to penetrate, especially on grey hair - if you want the color to last. A semi-permanent color (that is mixed) is gentle enough not to stress hair like a permanent color, but effective enough to cover grey. Also, the color tends to fade rather than grow out, so regrowth isn't as drastic. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I use Wella Demi Permanent in Dark Sand and LOVE the color. It is available at Sally's.

I really love the Clairol Naturistics semi-perm color. I personally use Hazelnut, which is a med brown. It is a 10 min color, that you put on your damp hair, the color is perfect, and it makes my hair so shiny.

I feel it last just as long as my perm. color., and it smells so good my hair looks gorgeous!!
