Self-tanning lotion for pale skin?

I have very pale skin- most drugstore makeup brands don't make foundations light enough for me- and would like to add a sort of brownish tone to my skin. Here's a picture of the skin tone I want:

My skin tone is like this girl's:



How can I add this brownish tint to my skin? I ordered Banana Boat's Sunless Summer Color Self-Tanning lotion and it'll be here in ten days; do you think that will work? I truly hope that I haven't offended anyone- I think all skin tones are beautiful, I'd just like to make mine a bit darker. Thank you for your time and I hope you can help me
