you're very patient like my sister. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I'm like a bull in a china shop. I slap it on and then stand around and pout waiting for it to dry.

Its all in the application :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I think I'm going to put my husband through "self-tanning application school 101" this summer :laughno:

Mine won't even be here this summer :madno: It sounds like my best bet will be to find a brand that has a cream with a matching spray so I can do it myself. I might have to order that $19 black string bikini (not to wear in public!!!) from Victoria's Secret and wear that while I'm waiting for it to dry. Feel sorry for any peeping Tom's in my neighborhood :w00t:

LOL - I know how you feel. Maybe now I know why someone's throwing broken bottles in my backyard. LMAO

Aw, thanks for finding that for me but it's not it. :scared: I looked on google and I can't find it any where. I wish I had bought some more. They had about 20 of them and each bottle was only .99 cents. :scared:

I love St Tropez, it really is fool proof although you do look like youve rolled round in the mud when u put it on

Since I am constantly looking for the best self tanner I had to look up some old threads about this subject.

Lately I have used Glow Fusion from Fusion Beauty(anyone tried it?) I love it but it`s so har to find here, and never see it on ebay either.

I am going to London tomorrow hoping to find it there. Searched for it when I was there last week too but didn`t find it (was in a hurry) so I picked up some Fake Bake self mousse instead. It`s ok, but hard to even out because the colour is black. Don`t think I get much tan from it either...

Does anyone have some other tips? Is there something new that i haven`t dicovered yet????

(have tried Lancome flash bronzer, St Tropez, Clinique self tan and Dove, Jergens and a few others)

Kristina,

In the shower, right before you wanna use a self-tanner, try using a body wash or soap that is acidic instead of alkaline. I accidentally discovered this when I started using and organic lemon based body wash instead of regular commercial varieties.

My skin took the Jergens tanner so well, that I actually downgraded from the "Dark" to the "Medium". My purpose for using self tanner is to add a nice dimension of color to my skin and even things out. I find that I need less DHA to do that now with the acidic body wash I use, and results happen much quicker than before.

Whenever I used Fake Bake darkest tanning lotion. I always received compliments on my 'tan'. The Fake Bake mousse, however, never really showed up properly.

Right now I alternate between Mystic Tans and Fake Bake lotion. The Mystics are good for quick full body coverage during the summer months when in a pinch.

Have you tried the "Mystic Tan" at a tanning saloon? That is the only self tanner I have tried that looks real. For my face, I use hoola bronzer.

^ Yes, I've done Mystic tan for a long while, and I loved the results. I don't do it so much anymore though. The expense does start to add up, and hubby also didn't like me Mystic Tanning, the smell really bothered him and the cats.
