i don't go to a derm so i guess i can't comment. but i was thinking of seeng one for my skin. derm's offices always seem crowded though, i went for a consultation once.

Skin worse than before you saw him. Now that I see it written down, that's enough reason. It only took 6 months of thinking I needed a new derm before I made the appointment. Since I can't see her until October, I have to see Dr. DoNoGood once more. I feel like an idiot going to see him when I know he's useless, but I just can't stand the thought of doing nothing--I guess I believe in miracles.

Just a reply to my previous post: When I went to see my useless derm as a stop-gap until I can see my new(female)derm on Oct.3, I'll called him out on some of my concerns-------he was insulted that I would dare to question him! I told him I thought I was wasting my time because he couldn't(or wouldn't)hear me. He was the rudest MD I've ever seen!!

I saw him on Thursday. On Tuesday he was on the front page of the paper after having been arraigned on Monday of 72 counts of insurance fraud--he had been charging for more complex procedures than he actually performed, AND--mistreating and misdiagnosing numerous patients in order to ensure their return visits for new prescriptions!!

Moral of the story.............you get bad vibes about a doctor, find a new one ASAP! If I had trusted my first impression of him, I would have been seeing someone else for the last 2 years who might have helped me by now.

Most MD's do care about their patients--they want them to improve. But, I'm sure every town has a few who are in it for the $$. Be careful out there!
