true or false?

i'm asking because i had a customer tell me this one day when we were talking about people breaking out from foundations.

:dito:

If I don't keep up with my skin regimen, I have break outs, always.

so in that sense, the thread title is true.

However, people with sensitive skin will react adversely to products that other people's skin can tolerate. so yeah... it can be true, but it can also be false.

I think products and bad habits can cause breakouts (among other things of course but for the purpose of this topic, I'll stick with products and bad habits).

A product can give you a bad reaction that causes you to breakout while sleeping with your make-up on and not washing your face can also cause you to breakout.

So in my opinion, both can be guilty.

I agree with the other girls - it's a combination of both factors. Sometimes one, sometimes another.

I have to say I disagree. Using oil based foundation on acne prone skin will make you break out , no matter how good you are at taking care of your skin.

Yeah I don't agree either. Definitely a combination of factors IMO.

I picked false. I take care of my skin, but even when I stick to my skin care routine, eat and drink well etc, if I try something that my skin can't handle I will break out, get itchy or similar.

i think it's a combination of factors. bad habits, wrong products for your skin type. if your skin is sensitive it can also break out where others won't. and i don't know if it's related, but since i started eating more fruits and vegetables, i've noticed my skin has improved. so bad eating habits will surely help you break out.

depends om the skin, but if yours is prone to it, products can definitely provoke a bad skin reaction.

I think its a comnbination of both

I take really good care of my skin...but if i use certain products i will break out.

On the other hand bad habits are the main reason for many ppl breakin out.

Then why do I break out with MAC foundations, lol, my habits are the same :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I also break out with HSH tri-wheat leave-in conditioner, so I have to cover my entire face.

if you use a product that is not comparable to your skin type then of course it could lead to adverse effects. But I also agree that it is a combination of the two.

I disagree. Certain products (skincare and Mu) cause me to breakout and others don't. While I agree that a good skincare routine would benefit the skin , I don't think breakouts should be blamed solely on bad habits onli
