I do not usually use the Biore pore strips, so this is not an every week thing for me or anything, but I did use them a couple days ago. One on my nose and one on my chin. I have a lot of little grey dots in both areas that I am assuming are blackheads. I exfoliate on a regular basis, gently with a cleansing brush usually nightly, and then a few times a week with a scrub or mask. I never have any irritation afterwards so I think my exfoliation is okay. But the little grey dots still remain. I also tried massaging a few different kinds of oils (separately) into the areas for a couple minutes then rinsing them off because a lot of people say they have luck with that. It did nothing for me. I have tried steaming my face and gently squeezing or using one of those loop tools, again nothing. The pore strips are the only thing that shows results and even then it does not get all of them and they seem to come right back pretty quickly despite my cleansing and exfoliating.

Anyway, I used the Biore pore strips the other day and they definitely pulled some stuff out. I let my face breathe for 15 - 20 minutes after and then splashed with cold water and applied my usual moisturizer. But starting the very next day I have had several minor pimples popping up on my nose and chin. I am not sure what type they are as they are just raised dots with neither a white or black head, only very slightly sore (as a normal pimple), and the earliest ones are almost gone now. But I am thinking it has to be from the pore strips. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Any tips I have not tried that will get rid of the annoying, ever-present little grey dots? Even types of facials to go try at a spa/salon? I would prefer to do it myself at home, but if a facial will clear it up for good (or at least for a while) I would be open to trying it.

If it's "ever present" it's probably not acne. It could be Keratosis pilaris or Atopic dermatitis but only a doctor can determine that.

What I have looks like this (this is not me):

Same on my chin.

Weird that a lot of people say that have used coconut oil to clear up the keratosis pilaris, but I used it every day as my moisturizer and have seen no difference (and yes, I had the grey spots for long before the coconut oil). I guess next time I have an appointment I will ask my doctor about it. Unfortunately if it requires a dermatologist I am out of luck as I have no insurance.
