I think i heard that if you tie your hair in a pony tail it grows faster?

and is it bad to keep oyur hair tied up?....im a stay at home mom and i clean so i like to keep my hair up and out of the way.....but my crunchie has so many hairs on it.....so im thinking if its bad to have it tied all the time..

I don't see how tying your hair back will make it grow faster -- all you are doing is tying back the dead hair, you are not doing anything to stimulate the follicle where the hair actually grows. If anything, ponytails will just make your hair break off more often where the tie is. Perhaps try a low, loose ponytail with a scrunchi or metal-free band to lessen the breakage?

I dont think thats true. I also think that if you wear a loose ponytail its ok. When i wear my hair in a ponytail i wear it too tight and i comb it back because i have curly hair and if i leave it loose it gets all freezy. It also breaks your hair in the area where you tie right now im trying to leave my hair down even if i just clip it in the front atleast its different.

I would say that's false... Especially if you're using a true rubber band. I keep my hair pulled back a lot, but I let it down from time to time. Constantly pulling it back in ponytails with a rubber band (like you use in an office), can lead to severe breakage. Not to mention, headaches!

Ditto with what everyone else said. I always try to mix up where I tie my ponytail, simply because I don't want it to break the hairs in the same position all the time. If I were you, though, I would look into getting those "chomper" clips with the teeth. I LOVE them. They keep my hair in place, and I think they're more gentle on your hair, since it's just holding it up in the french twist position.

THANKS LADIES...in just wanted to know.....i dont want to cuase any damage to my hair...i do have to buy theose butterfly clamps i love those:)
