I alternate ...............I use emu oil most of the night and Alouette night cream. I also use emu oil as a hair treatment. :glasses:

i have normal skin, but on certain occasions it goes to oily.

plus i have a fear of clogged pores, so i always look for ones that work well for oily/combo skin.

for that you can't beat H2O Plus Night Oasis Oxygenating Rejuvenator($36). I hear their Balancing Marine Cream is great for combo skin too, and cheaper($25- and currently on sale for $17).

the only other one i use is Dior Capture Totale Rituel Nuit- and that is causing my husband some serious histeria ($125). He's a vaseline intensive sort of guy.

but Dior Capture feels like heaven and makes me look like an angel.

oh- if you are under the age of 25, sleep well, not a heavy drinker, and don't smoke, there is no reason you should be using a night cream unless you are genetically prone to having thin, unelastic, environment responsive skin.

i used to have a "pre-baby" night time gig hosting parties and event planning at nightclubs 3-4 nights a week, and the lack of sleep took it's toll. i regret not taking better care of myself in my earlier years.

I use a vitamin C night cream from Murad, but I think it might be a little bit too heavy for me so I'll be switching soon. Once in awhile, I just use olive oil, and that usually does a better job than any night cream.

those of you who use vaseline, coconut oil, etc. for moisturizers on the face is that just for the colder months? since it's going to be hot soon, will you switch to something lighter or will you continue to use the oils? have you had good results using the oils as moisturizers?

Night creams are great, just watch they aren't oily, if you have problems with acne.

are night creams even necessary? i know that Dr. Hauschka does not believe in them, because their philosophy is that if you put night creams at night, your skin will become overly reliant on them and end up being unable to secrete enough natural sebum. thus, your skin will actually become drier in the long run!

great recos, thanks! I'm over 30, so I could use a little extra oomph. I've always wanted to try H2O, so looks like here's my chance! (Dior's pricetag is a bit steep for me...) :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

interesting....thanks for posting that. it actually makes alot of sense to me.

will try out a night cream and see how it works for me....

which is better oil for the face that does not cause breakouts, coconut oil, olive oil, or jojoba oil? in our country, we have only the brand jason naturals jojoba oil, is this good for use with the face?

i am not sure but i believe for people with dry, irritating skin, night creams are necessary (at least for me) to moisturize your skin and make them not so dry.

i did not use them for the longest time and my skin were almost always just flaky off no matter what moisturizer i use during the day.

if you use moisturizer during the day, it's the same to use one for night time, especially if the night cream helps in making your skin less dry and more supple and smooth. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i used to use jojoba oil and aloe vera but it seems like my dry skin need more so i've switched to wei east silk serenity resotoration night cream (long name huh?) and it's made such a huge difference i don't know how i'll live without it.

OK I have tried tons of creams for my fair sensitive skin to help with my fine lines and wrinkles. The Olive Night Creme from Made from Earth is the best ever in my opinion. No sensitivity at all and my face literally feesl like a youing childs the next morning! It is so soft and smooth and I just can't get over it because I have never had results like that before. Please try this night cream and see if you love it like I do!
