men and women enjoy using the AVENE moisturizing self tenner. they like the colour thye achieve with this product.

wash you hands right after application. use soap and water. after you can blend it properly into your hands.

moisturizer and exfoliate skin prior to application

disposable gloves are also great to use for applying tanners!!!!

look on the bright side they can be genrally tedious to apply but once you a pro you can use them regularly all year long and look tanned all the time!!!! its an excellent safe alternative to tanning beds and the real sun.

remmeber tanners gradually fade and can look blotchy when they fade!!! just kepp on applying them regularly.

when i was at my dads for a few months last fall, I used a neutragena bronzeing foam and mixed it with the jergens firming lotion so it wouldnt get streaky. It came out nice. Now I just use my hawiann tropic with insant bronzer since theres sun.

Victorias Secret Bare Bronze lotion..... around $17 a bottle but well worth it...not streaky not very orangey

it definatly smells like a sun tan lotion but i put it on before bed then wash it off in the morning and after a few days you'll get a perfect tan

Chanel makes really nice fake tan for face while for body I'd recommend Nivea bronzing cream as it looks very natural and adds glow.

I have really fair skin - I have used Neutrogena Bronzing Foam stuff (streaked HORRIBLY) & also the L'Oreal Sublime (didn't streak as much but it was too dark for my skin).

I just use Jergen's Natural Glow Stuff now & it works SO good! It is really subtle & you dont have to make sure you have every single spot covered because it just gradually turns your skin darker making it look really even. I bought another bottle yesterday in a firming version - & it also is of course a moisturizer/lotion so it is like 2 products in one :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I gotta tell you all, I am still LOVING this L'Oreal Sublime spray!!! It is kind of subtle, but still gives a nice tan, seems almost foolproof, if you ask me, and dries so quick (unlike a lot of the lotions out there).

I really, really, really like it!!!! If you have not tried it, I highly recommend you do so! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

-I always use latex gloves when applying self-tanner of any kind- and boy, has it payed off!

-My current favs include:

*Loreal Sublime Tanning Gel in Medium- it can stay sticky so I put it on before bed- but I love this- in the morning it turns out very natural and I haven't had much trouble with streaking.

*Banana Boat- Summer Color Instant Bronzer Foam- Deep Dark- This is nice as well- I like foams a lot and they have worked the best for me in the past. I got this for 5$ up at the mall, great deal.

*Jergens Natural Glow in medium/tan is always a good deal as well.

Well I tried the Nivea stuff for a couple days in a row, and found the colour started to look a little too yellowish/orange for me. Also, I think it broke me out a bit on my chest and shoulders :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Grr... my skin is so sensitive there.

I picked up a new gradual tanner from St. Ives called Healthy Brilliance, it has caffeine and is supposed to firm your skin while it gives colour. I don't think I really care about the supposed firming qualities, but I guess if it actually firms a little, then that's a plus :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> There is also a body scrub in the same line and I purchased that along with it. I really like the scrub, my skin feels amazingly smooth and soft. I haven't tried the tanning lotion yet though. Here's hoping I don't turn orangey again!

ok so i tried the sublime spray and it looked like a blind person applied it....eek. I followed the directions and all. I need a real idiot proof one. SWo now i bought the sublime gelee and lotion. They are on sale this week at Ulta buy one get one free. I'm gonna try it tonight and see how it works out.

Does anyone know if there are any tuts on this ???? That would be freakin awsome!!!!

I do this too!!!! Hate bronze hands....hehehe

I also had a problem with it drying....i swear i did not spray a lot or spray it close. It took like 40 minutes to dry. I must be such a moron.
