Hey ladies!

Ok I need some help to get back to the color I had..

For the past couple years I have been using L'Oriel LB02 Very Light Natural Blonde (box) and I loved it!

9 days ago I went to the salon to do some low lights and my sister's stylist convinced me to color it to my natural color (medium dirty blonde)

She dyed it 7N with gold and red toners and it came out auburn...I tried to like it but hated it.

The next day I used swimmers shampoo but the color didn't fade. I stripped it with Color Oops and used the box color again. The top was medium golden blonde but the bottom was super ashy (almost green).

The next day I used a protien filler, Clairol 12NG cream color (2 oz) , 30 volume (2 oz), and a packet of anti-copper/red from Sally's (as instructed by a stylist working)

The color is more blonde but the top of my head seems brassy and the rest is ashy....I really want back to what I had before - extra light blonde (like in my picture)

it has been over a week- Do you think I am safe to redo the Clairol 12NG but with a 40 volume this time?

Any suggestions would be so very helpful!

at this point i would go to a proffesional. no offesnse but it seems as though you have very little knowladge of hair collor.

you are putting red tones in your hair by using warm colors, than trying to take right back out.

if your hair didnt lift the first time it is prob not going to with the higher volume, you are just going to damage it more and cause it to fall out.

also the color correctors are violet which takes out yellow. and you had a NG which is neutral green which i guess you were trying to get out the red. but there is nothingn counter acting the orange that is common in golden toned hair dyes. and bye putting this over the bottom half of your hair you are just intensifying the greenish hue.

also you have color in your hair... color wont lift color you need bleach. i dont advise using bleach at home. and after all you have done to your hair i dont know how light the styllist will be willing to go.

realisticly you will go in they will give you a heavy highlight tone it, you will most likely get to the level of 9, and she will prob do two diffrent tonners one on the bottom half one on the top, but they wont get it back to neutral, and they will not get it a perfect match and the bottom will most likely still be ashy and the top will most lilely still be red in tone

I recently tried to go blonde myself using OTC products and ended up with quite golden/orangey hair. I tried a few times to go over it myself, but was worried I would damage my hair by over coloring, so went to the hair dressers, who put platinum highlights throughout and it looked fine after that.

As your hair is you say, two colors right now, it will be difficult for you to get it uniform yourself, but a hair dresser will be able to section and foil the hair, applying new colour to specific areas, which is really hard to do yourself.

Your hair colour in the pic is lovely by the way, I love it and am interested whether you get it back like that and also as to whether you keep its condition ok having done so, update us!

Oh one more thing, if you are finding your hair is getting a bit damaged, maybe check out the Kerastase Chroma Riche line, as yesterday (I had a cut) my hair dresser used this on my quite processed hair and it made a big difference, really soft, I also swear by Redkens anti snap.

Sorry that happened to you! I have learned the hard way that when I like my hair, to leave it alone. Seems like it always turns out funky for me when I try to color. Good luck with getting it corrected, but most likely you will have to tolerate some color you dont really care for until it grows out.
