hi! i'm just curious, i've heard raves about both jojoba oil and emu oil, and i was wondering what's the difference in their functions and benefits?

personally, i like Dr Hauschka as well, but it's a little pricey!

I use a few Lush products aswell as olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter and aloe vera gel, I like the sound of a Dead Sea Scrub because I use the salts in my bath.

Yes, I have the same question. Also, does any of them have any certain smell to them? How do you use them? How do you apply?

Thanks

Another vote here for products from GardenofWisdom.com . She's great and her products are awesome & very reasonably priced.

I also just started using some products from xxxspameditedbymodxxx . Also very reasonable and the skincare stuff is awesome. I've used the scrubs and shampoo for quite awhile and adore them. Finally took the plunge and decided to try the skincare items a few weeks ago. So far the results are better than I had hoped for. Yippeeee

I refer to http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/ to find out if certain ingredients are "bad." I ignore some ratings because it's just impossible to keep it as safe as possible.

And what you use really depends on your skin type. What I do is go to drugstore.com and go to their natural section (there's a tab at the top). I then start reading reviews and pick out what I should use for myself.

I have oily, acne-prone, easily-clogged skin. I use Burt's Bees Garden Carrot Complexion soap to remove makeup. I've had the same bar for probably over a year now. I got it at Vitamin Shoppe. I then tone with Nivea Visage Moisturizing Toner (haven't found a natural alternative, but I love it), then moisturize with rosehip seed oil. RSO is a great anti-aging oil. I was sooo scared to use it because a lot of oils clog my pores, but this one didn't. I used to use olive squalane w/ vitamin E, but I really didn't notice any improvement in my skin.

Natural skincare doesn't need to be expensive. In the morning, I wash my face with baking soda and honey. You can do OCM to remove makeup, which is super cheap. It was too time-consuming for me. You can use water/ACV toner and moisturize with olive oil, jojoba oil, etc.

things I use are: burt's bees replenish and repair serum..something like that...I use it for under my eyes. I also use desert essence tea tree oil for blemishes and their jojoba oil as a moisturizer. I also like lilly of the valley aloe vera jelly. hth

burts bees has excellent products for older women. a whole line of it. i bought it all for my mom

jojoba has no smell, emu smells kinda weird but not horrible. nothing to be grossed out about though. squalane also has no smell which is good like emu. i personally use all 3 in rotation, theyre all good for you, so i use them all!

I love XXXeditedbymodXXX. They have an awesome line of aloe based skin care and they are enriched with botanicals and vitamins and essential oils. No harsh detergents and totally good for you. They feel like heaven on the skin.

I use some Australian skincare brands and I'm not sure if they are available o/s. My current favourite is A'kin.

Products I use are:

rosehip oil

Emu oil

Plus my own homemade oat, honey and warm water mask :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Naturals are good. I think if you have dry skin, like Vitamin E oil is good for you aloe vera, cocoa butter.

My Favorite All Natural Products:

You have received a ton of great advice.  You may be feeling a bit overwhelmed but hang in there.  SkinBotanica.com carries natural products and they have great customer service so you can call their 800 number and tell them what your concerns are and they will stear you in the right direction.
