Of course now I am growing out my hair a little so we'll see if he still likes it

But I doubt I'll let it get longer than a few inches past my shoulders -- anything longer than that will just make me look young and will overwhelm my petite frame, I want people to see my face and not just my hair

How long has it gotten now?
Mine is about an inch MAYBE under the tops of my shoulders when it is straight, and Rob is practically giving himself HIVES waiting for it to get long!

I told him last night that I was going to try Perfectil if I can find it, or at least Biotin to make my hair strong and hopefully grow quicker, and he started CHEERING!! :icon_love

Yeah, it's huge change, but I think I'm going to love it because I have a son. It'll take a lot less time to style, which will leave me more time with him!!

Right now, the longest layers are no more than an inch past my shoulders if they're perfectly straight (like yours, I guess). It's the longest my hair has been since hubby's known me, and he says it does look better on me (especially now that I'm using a flatiron -- this cut is more flattering to my face shape) but he also liked some of my shorter cuts, even the ones I didn't like!
I tried growing my hair out a year ago and when it got about an inch passed my shoulders, that's when he started complaining it was annoying. But my layers were really weird back then, and I chopped it back off because it wasn't looking right. Now that I'm growing it out again, it looks a lot better with the layers I have now and with my flat ironing

Now my dad still thinks that all women should have hair "down to their elbows"

but fortunately he didn't complain after I cut it ... for that matter, my mom's hair is now a lot shorter than it used to be, too

I love the cut you picked out, I sure wish you lived in Louisiana I would love to cut your hair. I am all about the cute spike messy looks. The only thing I would change about the pic is to have the sides a little longer say like right at your chin and not so blunt looking I would make it a bit more wispy. Which would help soften it the edges around your face. But great pick :0)

When growing your hair out be sure to keep the ends trimmed and the weight taken out that way you will not have to go through the ugly stage with your hair. This will just make the process of growing it long alot easier.

That is what me and my stylist are doing right now! lol, I still feel like I have too much weight near the bottom, but then I am going for a cut in like a month, so I'll get that taken care of!
