My skin is a wreck...mainly my chin

The dermatologist just put me on Tetracycline and gave me a prescription for Clenia facial wash. It's helped tremendously in a very short period of time. My chin is finally clear for the first time in about 18 months. I wash with the Clenia twice daily and exfoliate with Epidermx every other day. The antibiotics were twice daily for the first two weeks and then once a day. When I go to my follow up appointment in two weeks it'll be totally gone! The next issue is fading the slightly dark spots that are left behind. But that's easily covered with mineral foundation and my skin looks better than it has in quite some time.

Go see a professional. It helps!

I have the problem with my chin once in a while, too...

The Epidermx has very fine grains and are not sharp or harsh in any way. I just had my follow up with the dermatologist today and was told to finish out my oral antibiotics and got a new prescription for an antibiotic cream to use just on my chin. So far I haven't had a single new outbreak and the old spots are healing/fading away. My chin is looking better than it has in quite a long time. I had a period of about 18 months where my chin looked like I had leprosy. It was so embarrassing I couldn't stand it and wanted to Photoshop every single picture of me I saw, because it was all I could see. Blech. So awful. But now I'm back to feeling like myself and am not embarrassed any more about the "nasty spots" I thought I'd have to live with forever. I'm pretty sensitive about this since I've always had a clear complexion and never had breakouts until I was in my forties. Thankfully, now I look almost healthy all over my face and (still) mercifully younger than the 47 I'll be turning next week!

The dermo also gave me samples and a prescription for RetinA, so we'll see how that works out under my eyes, etc. Since I'm such a "Princess-and-the-pea" sort and my skin is so sensitive, I'm a bit hesitant to try it since I know it normally causes some irritation for everyone, at least initially. I'll report back on the success or failure of that experiment.

A quick way to clear up your skin is to cleanse and use some kind of drying or zit lotion on your pimples. I would recommend trying Mario Badescu's drying lotion. It really works wonders. It's not too expensive but you can not find it at a regular drugstore. Check it out because it really works!!!

Almond oil is good for the skin and it's an excellent natural remedy. You should also try thermal acne treatments available out there along with rub-on treatments to clear your chin completely.
