So I got my hair braided last night. It took 2 hrs and still hurts like hell. BUt, it will be more convenient for me since I'm going to the gym more and I sweat a lot and it's hard to go anywhere after the gym without spending an hour on my hair. Plus I can be lazy by not doing my hair for a few weeks. The girl was pretty reasonable with price.

Excuse the bare face I am going to the gym in an hour. These are also not the best pics cause I had to take them myself. I may replace them when husband comes home tonight he can probably get better shots.

You look beautiful and hmmm excuse me,,, did you say "bare face"? Your skin is sooo nice! I wish I could go places bareface.

Good...I keep my daughter's hair braided in summer so I won't have to mess with it. I actually wore braids for a while (Micro and Senegalese twists) but now it's natural and a big 'afro puff' on the top of my head...Your hair will actually grow a lot with braids because my hair is bra length when straightend...

Yeah I am a teacher so I figured I would give myself a break during the summer. I had cut my hair in Aug to chin length from shoulder length so I'm hoping this will help it grow

that's going to be so easy for the gym and the summer in general. good for you erica! you don't know how many friends i have that won't work out because of their hair. an aweful excuse for not taking care of yourself. kick butt honey!

I know...I'm guilty of that and ny husband doesn't understand, but now that I enjoy going I decided to work around the problem.

Looks great! I always thought that if I was African-American I would have so much fun experimenting with all the different types and styles of braids you can do! But I don't think they work on a pasty-white girl, I have the whitest skin of anyone I know! lol

By the way, I also think your skin looks great!

Update: The braids are easy, but I have been looking for websites on how to care for them. My hair is shoulder length and I have extensions braided in and my hair is now peeking out at the ends where my own hair stops (make sense?) I wantthese to last sense I did pay for them.
