My Acne Story & Solution

I thought I'd share this:) So I'm 25 now. My whole life, I had never had acne - well - I had around 2 pimples a year that would quickly go away. When I was 23, I heard about a skincare brand named La Prairie. I thought it must be pretty good as apparently it's associated with Clinique La Prairie, which is apparently quite a good laboratory/research thing in Switzerland. So I bought all the products recommended to me (face mask, exfoliator, hand cream, day and night cream, eye cream, face serum, eye serum, toner - mostly from the anti-aging line) and within a few days I started getting acne. But I figured it wasn't connected but I started having several pimples at a time on my face at all times. Finally I stopped using the products, and within 2 days 50% of the acne went away. However, the rest persisted for over half a year. I asked a dermatologist (didn't actually go there, just asked) and he said that skin cells have a long memory...not really sure exactly how that works. I would always continue to consistently have several pimples on my face at a time and my skin was kind of bumpy, not smooth (it wasn't really severe, but I could definitely see it in the mirror) probably due to acne scarring. I heard about the Tea Tree Face Wash from the Body Shop and how it's good for acne. At first I was skeptical. All the reviews on the UK Body Shop's website for this product were positive, so I thought maybe they were all written by the company. But I decided to try. At first I was very disappointed. I did not get that squeaky clean look that "this is my skin, without all the dirt" after using it - as I've gotten from other brands like Lancome and La Prairie and once from using a drugstore HAND soap when I was at a friend's flat. So I thought, if it can't cleanse my face properly (even though I don't usually wear foundation), how can it help my acne? But I looked in the mirror a week ago and found that hey, my skin is really smooth and doesn't disgust me, and I only have 1 little pimple! So I think it worked......So I want to recommend that to you guys, because it only costs $10 ($12?) and it works *_*
