well my skin is naturally pinkish-redish anyway, so being red for a day or wtvr won't bother me. how often to you do the peel and how much % do you use?

I combine it with MDB. Onli do these peels once a week .. no matter how unsensitive u think your skin is. I do MDB 2x and glycolic 1x. I started with 30%, but now I`m moving on to 50%

Wow. That's awesome! Your dad is super nice! How much does the glycolic acid cost??

LVA- this may be a dumb question but what does MDB stand for?

i'm happy for you too.

i know how bad it feels to have acne too. micro has helped my skin somewhat, but i'm so anxious to try glycolic peels. hopefully i'll be getting some soon. please let us know how your consultation goes and post pics if possible of your results.

thanks to all of you!!! =)

i will keep y'all updated.

the glycolic acid that my dad is getting for me on ebay is pretty cheap, like 30ml of 30% glycolic acid is only around $9.

kam, did you have professional microdermabrassion done? if so, how many sessions did you do?

i'll be getting 6 sessions so far, but i'm thinking of having another 6 after. so 12 in total.

UPDATE!

ok, so i had my first microdermabrassion session today, it wasn't that long at all, but at first the procedure was umcomfortable, it didn't exactly hurt, but it felt like something was scratching/sucking your face... kind of like rubbing sandpaper against your skin. my eyes even watered but that's okay cos i got used to it a little while later. no big imporvement yet, obviously, since it's my first procedure but my skin texture does look much more smoother. my next session is in 2 weeks, i was kind of dissapointed that i have to do it every 2 weeks(at first she suggested a month), i was hoping to do it once a week. but wtvr, anyhoots, wow, i can only imagine what my skin will look like after 12-18 sessions wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! =) i'm pretty excited!

great to hear it went well ... i see u're getting a lil addicted to it. I can't wait to see your skin soon!!

btw - since u've started MDB, when u get your glycolic, be sure to test somewhere on your face first .. like a lil patch or somewhere else on your skin .. .don't get too excited and start applying it all over.

thanks! =)

the lady who's doimg my procedure, took before pictures... before the procedure. =)

i haven't recieved my glycolic acid yet, but hopefully i will within a week because i'd like to do it once a week and microdermabrassion every 2 weeks. i think that will work out perfectly.

and yeah, i'll test it out muahaha... but i think my skin will handle it pretty well.
