A standard US large is 12-14.  But I usually shop at places with real world sizing where a large is 14-16.

So, I just went and weighed my basic pair of size 8 open-backed, kitten heels and they came to 11 oz (just 1 oz under a pound). Of course, they weren't in a box or any sort of shipping material so make of that what you will.

Interesting! I suspect the shoes will come in a shoe box of some sort.

Mine is 4.5 pounds for one apparel and one pair of shoes. I'm guessing the apparel is about 1 pound. So about 3.5 pounds for my shoes, too. Eep! Doesn't sound like a pair of flats (which is what I was hoping for because they've got some really cute ones). Haha, oh no! It might be my worst fear -- PLATFORMS! Or boots. I did see a few instagram pictures from the last sale and a couple of people got knee high lace up boots. I hope not. I've got huge calves and boots are tricky for me.

Same sentiments as you. Anything but platforms (i'm in law school, that ain't going to look cute with anything i own) or high cut boots, i can do anything around the ankle, my calves generally do not agree with boots.
