Maybelline Color Tattoo Summer 2013 (LE)

It seems around here that Rite Aid and Walgreens got special displays for these summer LE shadows/polishes, and WalMart has a few scattered around with the regular ones, but they are only getting 2 of each color per store that I've seen. So if all else fails, check that big online auction site /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> . lol.

I finally had a chance to pull mine out and use them! Here's what I came up with:

*Please excuse my tired expressions...I'm a little under the weather currently!

This is Lavish Lavender on the lid, and Cool Crush above it:



This one is Waves of White on the inner corners of my eye and Icy Mint on the lid:



and last but not least, this is Seashore Frosts on the whole eye with Shady Shores right below the eyebrows:



Seashore Frosts is AMAZING. If you look at the pic above, it looks blue/green with hints of purple (diffused sunlight), but when I took a pic in straight on sunlight, here's what it changed to:



Purple and gold! Isn't that amazing?!

I was really pleased with the majority of these. Icy Mint and Waves of White were definitely the hardest to work with, formula-wise. Such a shame, because Icy Mint is such a fantastic mint green and Waves of White is incredible as far as variation in color! It looks plain white when you open it, but they if you turn to jar and look through the top glass it changes to iridescent greens/blues. Then when you put it on, it shimmers blue-ish white! An incredible duochrome! Unfortunately, they were difficult to layer, since they kept just smearing off when I added more. However, the others layered very nicely, especially Seashore Frosts. Did I mention that one was AMAZING? Go...go buy it....right now! lol

I wore Seashore Frost for the first time yesterday, very nice formula.

Finally have all 8 colors now. I went to CVS yesterday and they had a full display. I am color tattoo addicted. I have 24 of them...every one ever released but Fierce and Tangy and I may end up buying that one just to be complete lol

Went to Ulta and Target today.  I picked up barely branded and a pinkish one that I can't remember the exact name of.  I have yet to see any of the new colors anywhere!! I've become slightly obsessed with them thanks to this thread.. I have 3 now /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Those two are part of the permanent line. Were you saying you have 3 color tattoos or 3 LE ones?

Here is today's ETOD featuring Waves of White.  I used it as a base shadow, on my inner eyes, and then over the black eyeliner.  I also used the peach, taupe, and duochrome shadows from UD's Glinda palette.  I like the effect Waves of White has over a black base.

Well I went on the hunt while I was in the states this weekend and I was only able to find Precious Pearl at Ulta. They had a little display of only this shade and I asked one of the girls at Ulta and she didn't have a clue that they were limited edition when I asked her if they had the LE collection she kept directing me to the permanent line. I also checked at Walmart, Target and a Walgreens and none of them had any. I'm glad I got one from the collection at least.

These were at my walmart today. But I was good and didn't put it in the cart. Partly because my boyfriend was buying the groceries and I'd feel bad making him buy stuff I'd almost never use. Mascara is one thing, but an six dollar eye shadow that is gorgeous and never touched. another.
