thats why i have to religiously put lotion on after showers. cause im gonna itch like hell and its gonna drive me nuts.

Have you guys tried baby oil? To save time, I have a SPRAY bottle of baby oil in the shower. When I'm done showering, I give my WET skin some sprays all over and gently work it in (just pass my hands over my body once, not rubbing it in per se). Dry off as per usual. Voila! Lotion optional.

The baby oil helps lock in the moisture from the water.

I do sometimes still use lotion - mostly in the really dry / cold times of the year but I found that I can do without 99% of the time.

That's a bummer you're all itchy

Great idea!! I'm going to have to try that. Does it get your towel all icky though?
I hate lotioning up too, and I tried that horrid new in-shower stuff from Olay. It's awful!

Towel never gets icky. Also I try not to rub myself but rather pat my skin dry (it's better for you). But either way - no gross towels and I only use white ones so if they were, I'd likely see it!

There is a J&J baby oil with aloe in it - that smells really nice. Most other baby oils smell a bit talc-like. Depends what smell you prefer. Let me know how you get on but I think you'll like it.

Good luck!

I'm religious about putting lotion on after a shower too! They do make those dry body oils you can just spray on too if you don't have time for using lotion. Never tried them myself though.

BTW, what's a HUGE pumpkin! LOL!

isnt baby oil bad for your skin? doesnt it clog the pores or something like that? or did i just invent that info

Think you invented that info (don't mean to sound nasty!!!). They put it on babies, it is the most gentle thing out there otherwise you couldn't put it on delicate baby skin. Anyway, I am not advocating putting it on the face (EVER) but on WET body skin just before stepping out of the shower it is a miracle. I learned this trick a million years ago and now I get compliments on how incredibly soft my skin is. That said, I'm sure it's not for everyone...but I'd give it a try and see.

I am so bad about doing this! I might try the baby oil thing though...it sounds better than using it outside of the shower. It's so greasy sometimes...I do love the smell though.

I agree! I have hard water here in my town (mixed with West Texas dryness) so if you don't lotion you will be verrrry sorry!! LOL! And doing it pretty close to after your shower is the best time to do it, locks in moisture!

I always like to use lotion, but sometimes I just don't have the time! The baby oil sounds nice-I'm going to pick up some and try it in the shower. I love the way it smells too! Bjb, tanning with baby oil is a very BAD thing! LOL..it burns and it ruins the bed! Don't do it!

Wait do you just pour the baby oil into a spray bottle? I have baby oil gel that I hardly ever use but should start using up.

To save time I use the Olay shower gel, it has lotion stuff in it so you don't have to put lotion after you get out of the shower. It saves tons of time, specially in the morning.

Yeah, I just pour it into a spray bottle. I tried the gel a while back but I found it too "sticky". The liquid stuff is what I use...you can try to see if the gel works on wet skin - maybe just use a small amount tho.
