i get really dry lips too.

the only things that have ever worked for me is carmex and burts bees chapstick.

I love Benefits Lipcription. You get 2 tubes, one buffs the dry skin off your lips and the other is an excellent balm. The only problem is its pricey but I find it works brilliantly. I also agree with all the other posts so you may want to try a cheaper method before trying this product. HTH

so pretty much ya'll are sayin that vaseline is safe to use? I smoother my lips with carmex before I go to bed and wake up and they are smooth but even if I dont go outside they end up gettin chapped and its driving me insane. Ive heard of the lipcription and its like 30 sum dollars. Ive wanted to try that but Im not gonna pay that much for it.

palmers coco butter thing you can find at drugstore/target/walmart

Kiehls, find at the kiehls store/nordstorm/kiehls.com/saks maybe bloomingdales but I dont remember.

LIke i said I love vasline for my lips but I just noticed that for some reason I keep kiehls and carmex right next to my computer and it never moves i wonder why. I use to love kiehls until i totally got sick of the smell

I tried to find this stuff at Walmart lastnight and I had no luck. Anywhere else I could find it? I got some vaseline though so Im hoping things will turn out for the best. Thanks ladies.

Thing i use/like for chapped lips:

Carmex

Soft Lips

MAC Lip balm

Blixtex

Lip Plumpers

Coco Butter Balm

Burts Bees Honey Lip Balm

Aquaphina Lip Hydration

THINGS ON Makeupalley that get the highest raiting:

Aquaphor

Carmex

The reason it stings is beacause it is the most hydrating. I see people with such dry hands their skin is peeling off, but once you put lotion on it hurts becasue it is hydrating.

The lipbalm is not giving you a pluming effect. It just seems like it. Its making your lips the normal size because they are not dry.

Another vote for Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm here. I put it on every night before bed and it works wonders! Feels really nice too!

Aquaphor where can I find that at? I found the lotion but I had no luck with the lip balm. I tried vaseline and its the one with aloe and vitiman e and it made me sick to my stomach with the small and eveything so Im gonna stop usin that. At least I think thats what its from.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Aquaphor in the baby section or the same general area as Vaseline usually.

Burts Bees is pretty good stuff... I tried Propeline (the green one w/ olive oil & chamomile), which is another bee-related product, from BBW and at first I didn't like it but now for some reason I'm using it every night and I really think its good stuff.

KISS ME by PHILOSOPHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm serious, please please please try it.

$10 bucks a tube and it'll lasssssst!

i had a friend who had a really bad burn on her lips from snowboarding (if you know what that's like, it's not pretty).. and nothing helped and her lips stayed like that for a really really long time, i wanna say a year.. yeah, but then she tried this stuff and now she has beautiful, moisturized lips. i also have very chapped lips and LOVVVVVVVVE this stuff, i CAN NOT live without it. another plus is that it works SO FAST! just really get it on your lips before you go to bed and the next morning it's all better, for me at least. it is also glossy, so it's pretty too. don't be afraid of the colors, they are all very sheer with just a very little tint of color. i really really love it. you can get it from nordstroms or sephora or any other stores that carry the PHILOSOPHY line. PLEEEEEEASE TRY IT.

lol

i also like ROSEBUD SALVE and LOCCITANE.... but not as much as KISS ME.

vaseline is great for my lips, i put it at night and the next morning they're so soft. my favorite lipbalm is neutrogena, but i also use labello (hydro care is probably my fave of the brand but it broke, sad). i also use my new lipbalm from Nuxe. this stuff is really great.

I use Bag Balm at night, sometimes smoothing Vitamin E oil under it, and Aveeno Lip Balm during the day. The Aveeno stays on for a while and leaves a glossy finish! Sometimes when I don't feel like having the slippery Aveeno feeling on my lips I use Softlips.
