So everyone always say that to fight the puffiness one should have a layered cut, right?

So just so I'll know, should the shorter layers be in the inside (closer to the neck) or on the outside?

Thanks!

Shrek: NO. Layers. Onions have layers. Ogres have layers. Onions have layers. You get it? We both have layers.

My layers are done on the outside just cause well I dunno I think it might look goofy if they were inside? haha

I've always had layers put in to get 'Poof'. I've not heard that layers help take away puffiness, but rather add texture and body to hair. There are a lot of products on the shelves of salons and drugstores to help keep your hair from being puffy, you might check them out, or talk to a stylist beofore the cut to be sure.

I always heard that layers add texture, and hence volume. It sounds like you are trying to reduce the volume.

Do you have curly hair, wavy, or straight? NYAngel (MUT's hair expert) will probably be able to give you some good advice if you give her the details!

I have naturally curly hair, and it's naturally layered from a cut I had 8 years ago. When it's straight, it looks awesome with the subtle layers. Since I've let it go back to its natural state, it does seem to be less poofy than it did all one layer. I also have natural volume and texture, and this isn't posing as a problem for me. I reckon it can work numerous ways. I have subtle layers that aren't even more than 2 inches in difference. Maybe it depends on how the layers are done?
