Hello,

So I'm a male and I just applied Jergens Natural Glow (the lotion) for the first time. I showered and exfoliated beforehand, so hopefully it will turn out well. I have some comments and questions about the application process itself though...

1) It took me what seemed like a very long time to apply... like 20 minutes to a half hour. Is this normal for a full body application? It was quite difficult making sure I covered my whole body evenly. I also found it very difficult to spread the lotion and rub it in, hitting all areas of my body. I'm not even sure I spread it correctly because it felt like it would stick to the first spot I put it on and was tough to disperse to other areas. For those of you who have used Jergens or other brands with both foam and lotion formulas, do you find the foam is easier to apply and spread quickly? If so, I'll probably switch over to the Jergens foam.

2) For a gradual tanner like Jergens, how frequently should I exfoliate before use? For example, if I want to apply this for the next couple days to build up my tan, should I exfoliate every time? Or will this undo the previous tan? I'm new to all this so any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Jergens to me has seemed to be thicker than most tanners. It takes me around 20 minutes to do a full body with foam. With the Jergens lotion just rub it in like you would a lotion and use sparingly around ankles, knees, elbows, dry places. You should only exfoliate the day before or of the day you apply the tanner so it goes on evenly. It seems like you spent a lot of time applying this so I don't mean to be negative, but I never saw any difference in my tan with the Jergens natural glow. I have seen results with the smaller tube that's express tan though. But give it a shot and try it a few days before you take my word for it. I also use St. Moriz from the UK and it's so far the best tanner I've ever used. You can find it on amazon for like $7. I hope this helps.
