Is that true that whiteheads are caused by dairy products

i dont think whiteheads are caused due to consuming anythin internally. whiteheads is an external problem..basically excess of oil/sebum produced by the skin is clogged into the pores and forms whiteheads. maintaining a healthy diet and drinking plenty of water will detoxify ur body. i hope it helps

Considering that it takes 2-4 weeks after your pores clog before you can actually see the blemish or whitehead, I'm guessing you actually have an allergic reaction to milk and not actual acne...
As for how much dairy you should get in a given day, that's a topic for another thread

I personally have every risk factor for osteoporosis except for being menopausal, so I definitely am not taking any chances and I try to get all of my calcium! (And I've always heard that your body absorbs calcium better from food than supplements....)

And actually, now that I think of it, my dairy consumption has varied some over the years but I've never noticed a correlation with my acne. *The* only thing that makes a difference in how much acne I have is what medicine I'm using -- diet, lifestyle changes, makeup, soap and cleansers, etc. have never caused a change (good or bad) with my acne! Medicines like benzoyl peroxide or prescription medicines are the only things that make a difference with my acne!

I do wonder if dairy does have anything to do with acne because I have upped by milk intake recently and I started experiencing the worst breakouts I've had in months. I am going to stop it for a while just to see if it clears up or if it was just a coincidence.

i dont eat much dairy. im not much of an ice cream person, and i dont like milk. im not vegan or anything, just not a milk person. what ive noticed is that since ive been eating organic food and mostly a veggiterian diet my face has gotten a lot better.

it's hard to say i guess, there are so many myths and such about what causes acne. i primarily get whiteheads, and i do love dairy! i eat cheese and drink milk every day..i never thought it had a connection to my breakouts. i do think certain foods can interact with our own unique body's chemistry and somehow create clogged pores via acne. but if you follow a generally healthy diet and take care of your skin, i don't think you should worry about the dairy connection.

My skin did clear up after I cut down on my milk intake so it seems like that may have been behind my breakouts.

Try switching to organic milk or milk from cows not injected with hormones. It could be the synthetic hormones that are causing the problems.

I don't know what's true and what isn't about dairy or other foods, but agreeing that being vegeterian and not a big milk drinker has done absolute wonders for my complexion. I think I'm prone to acne, but eating the way I do has definitely improved the situation.
