Ideas for my Hair Appointment Next Week?

Hey kiddoes!

I'm getting my hair done next week, and I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to ask for. I got one of those package deals for xmas from my boss, so you get either a half head of foils, semi permanent color OR a gloss treatment, as well as a cut and blow dry... usually they do something in more of a 'style' than just your average trim, so I'm looking for ideas!

My hair is currently down to about bra strap level, and I want to keep growing it, but it's been coloured and I feel it's kind of straw-like and such.

I have really, really soft hair that flops a lot, so bangs fall in my eyes, side part bangs don't sit where they're supposed to etc... I want something that will look pretty and bouncy! any suggestions?

I would get it layered, and pull your bangs around and spray them with hairspray. As far as color goes, a reddish brown would look GREAT on your hair.

I'm not sure how much to get hacked off. Maybe I'll just leave it to them and see what the stylist thinks. (Although that can be a really, really bad idea, lol)

Since you want to keep the length i would suggest layers and bangs like above.

I think you would suit warm caramel/blonde hair.

Adding more graduated layers should add a lil more bounce to your style...it also looks like you some some natural wave to your hair...the layers will increase the amount of wave...the only other way to achieve more bounce would be to actually cut a few inches off of the length and bring it up to your shoulders...since you are growing your hair this isnt really an option. As for the colour, I'd reccomend a semi-permanent colour...people tend to stay away from semi's becuase they think the colour will was out quick...in actuality semi/demi colour takes anywhere from 10-16 shampoo's to start fading. You could opt for some foil's around your face also, it just depends on if you intend on keeping up the colour or not!

I reckon some layers would look great on you, my hair is similar to yours and I find when I have layers my hair appears to be bouncier and have more body, otherwise it's straight and lifeless...lame! I think a nice warm brown would look lovely on you, I love you as a brunette!

And I think you look great as a brunette. I'd say if you were going for another colour that you'd suit a really rich chocolatey brown colour

Layered hair with a framed face, and a straight bang.

I think you'd be gorgeous with this.

OH and yeah keep your hair color I think its gorgeous all you should do is foil it with a warm honey/caramel color and it would be natural but beautiful.

thanks guys... the longer this week has gone on, the more I'm starting to HATE my hair. I can't wait to get it cut. It's so dry and straggly! still not sure what I should do with it though, but all the ideas help!

As much as you are sick of your hair, are you still with the growing it idea and really just want a good trim?

I was just flipping back through a hair thread I made a thousand years ago when I had a really nice cut, maybe something similar on you would look nice, not necessarily the fringe part, but the choppy layers, still with length. My I had a chubby face back then haha

I was thinking layers to, it's great to keep the length and give you hair bounce too. To know how much you have to cut, i have my own guide lol : everything you really have trouble detangling with your comb when you just washed your hair.

this has nothing to do with your cut or color (though i do htink layers would be super awsome)

but you seem to have a little bit of wave to your hair. you could consider playing it up with just a little mouse or some sort of product. i have super thin hair that i am growing out and i find when i wear it wavy like it seems to feel and look fuller

I don't know why it looks like there is wave... unless my perm did something to my hair!

it's actually straight as a poker, and doesn't hold a curl well at all

I know you want to keep your length but i think you'd look gorgeous with a victoria beckham kind of cut.

Oz, I actually had that cut for a while last year... It did look good but it took so long to grow out...

and it kind of reminds me of my ex, LOL
