I'm on the medication accutane right now, and my hair was already dry and coarse and frizzy and thick to begin with. However, I get it thinned out, I have been doing that ever since I went to Japan and let them cut my hair. I've been saving so much on shampoo and conditioner since then!

So anyways, my hair is always dry, no matter what I do. So far the only thing that has EVER manged to make my hair feel a little better is biosilk. But it's just so damn expensive. Does anyone have any tips for me to care for my hair on accutane?

And please don't suggest not washing my hair every day, I have to. I feel so gross if I don't.

Thank you so much for any help.

I'm sorry to hear about that! I'm sure Janelle will have a great rec regarding hair products in general, and hopefully a fellow Accutane (or former) user has great advice too!

I use Pantene Smooth and Silky shampoo, conditioner and also the mask. They are a very great combo in making my hair "smooth and silky".

For the hair oil, I use Biosilk and Kerastase Anti-frizz randomly and I've no other idea about something cheaper but works.

Try Kenra mosutirizing condtioner or nexxus therappe shampoo and nexxus humctress to mositurize, hydrate, and streanghten your hair. Try to aviod products with silicones or shampoos with sls. Use less heat.

Actually washing your hair everyday would just dry out your hair more.

Dry deep conditioning like K-Pac Hair Reconstrutor (by Joice) and remember to use leave-in hair conditioner!

Neutrogena Triple Moisture shampoo, conditioner, and deep condtioning treatment are great. Just using the shampoo alone is often enough for me its so moisturizing. but if your hair is very dry i'd say use them all, they are fairly inexpensive. they also have a moisturizing shine serum that I like.

use can use a garneir product or sun silk I'm sorry i have to say it unless you work out at the gym everyday it is fine to wash your hair but do you know that washing it every day also contributes to dry scalp and drying out your hair shampoo is a detergent some harsher than others but if you can't help it use a leave in conditioner I like infusium 23
