Hey girls and guys!

Okay. I admit it completely. I am clueless when it comes to hair.

Can anyone plllleeeease tell me how to do this sort of style? You know... The backwards curl? 1. It never looks pretty when I do it. 2. If it does? I can't get it to stay.

I KNOW I'm doing it wrong. -_- /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

HALP MEEEE!

...(Oh, and it's Rachel Leigh Cook's hair I mean)

Well, it depends on your cut. Having layers helps a lot because it takes off a lot of the weight and is much easier to hold a flip. The easiest way to create flip outs is with a gel or mousse while hair is damp, and using a medium sized thermal brush (round with a ceramic barrel) and curling hair outwards at the ends while drying. You want to roll the brush slightly higher (1-2 rev's) than you want the flip to actually start. This will help give it more height and more hold, so it will last a little longer.

That helps so much!!! Oh! And what hairspray should I use? Extra hold? Maximum? Light? Any brand suggestions?

Oh! And what kind of gel/mousse?

I like either BigSexyHair's Spray & Play hairspray... or Farouk Hairtoys Enviro54 spray. As far as a gel, I like Biosilk Rock Hard Gellee, and mouse I usually use TresSemme 4+4 styling mousse.
