. I applied to two.. Got accepted by both, on for Agricultural Engineering and one for Mechanical.. Went to the one furthest away too.. 11 hour drive and still in the same state.. And of coarse Mechanical Engineering was so fricking boreing.. And I loved machines and geology so what better to go into than something where you blow up rocks and stuff!! Lol
Earth First!!! We'll mine the other planets later!!

i think i applied to 3 or 4, but i did get into the one i wanted, even though i didn't finish there.

my son applied to about the same number and we picked the one that came with the scholarship!

i applied to like 4 of them.

i went to the one i didnt want to go to so i could transfer to the one im going to now.

long story short, i transfered, but cause of the way the school is run here, only like one quarter of the 1.5 years of school i went to were able to get transfered.

so i had to pretty much start all over again just cause i wanted to switch schools.

I applied to like, 7, and got in to all but 2. LOL! I was a little over zealous and majorly underconfident that I'd get in anywhere, but ended up here because I liked them the best.

I applied to 4, three of them being city colleges which were easier to get in, and one private college. I got accepted to two, and now I wonder where would I be now if I chose the other college instead of the one I'm attending...? lol

one. it's a bit different here, i could have applied to another but technically each university is designed an area, and you're supposed to go to that one, then ask for a change.

now, for what we call Master 2(something between a master degree and a PhD), that's different, because for example in science, only one uni in France (usually located in Paris) will have that specific diploma you're looking for. about a hundred students can apply but only 20 or so will be taken so you have to apply to others in case you don't have the one you want.

i might apply at some different universities considering we might be moving somewhere in Paris itself or the close suburd next year.

I applied to at least 4 schools, and I got into 3 of them, the more schools you apply to the more expensive it is..especially when most application fees are 30 to 50 dollars a pop.

Only one... got in and I'll be graduating next May wohoooo!!! Now for Med school I only applied to one... again hahahaha.

But now I'm back at home going to USF.

lol.

I almost went to UNF right after highschool! But that school is actually in my hometown and I wanted to move away so I went to Community College first and then applied and got accepted to UF!

Two that were close to my house. I got accepted to both universities, but I ended up going to a community college for my first two years.

I applied to five, got accepted to all. Most were far away, but I went to the one where I already lived, just couldnt bring myself to move. I still live here too, 8 years later. Sometimes I wish I had gone away, to see what my life would be now. Oh well.

That's interesting that many of you chose the schools away from home. I chose the closest one!

I only applied to one, because I knew I was going to be accepted without a doubt, and also really wanted to go there.

Applying to more than one is a good thing though, I wonder sometimes what would have happened if I wasn't lucky!

Three. In 2000 I applied to two, got into both, and picked the one where my friends were going..lol. In 2003, I transfered to a school around my house; only applied to one & got in.

I wasn't sure I wanted to go to college so I only applied to one California State school. I got in and attended for 2 years before I quit. I eventually got my degree but it was on the 10 year plan.
