to go from the color I have my hair now... to something like this?

I will attach a pic of what my hair looks like now.

Would I just get full highlights on top, or do I need highlights and lowlites?

You will need a pro to do this.. just take the photo and show the stylist.

But the hair is dark below, the highlights are on top of the hair as well as in the middle.

Like I said you need a stylist because highlights are tricky, if you put them on wrong it might not be good for your face shape and look bad.

Your hair has a completely different texture than Beyonce's.

Oh yeah, I am definitely getting a professional to do this!

I made an appointment with my friend's mom, who is a hair stylist, for next Wednesday.

I just hope it turns out like the picture, because I hate when I take in a picture and then walk out and it looks nothing like it.

It looks like it's the whole crown of her head that is blonde. Kindof like the way you have it now but opposite. I don't think that if it's the crown it will be that hard, just the getting it that light would be harsh on your hair and probably cause some breakage.

Yeah, I know that I will have to accept some amount of breakage. I am just worried because my roots are growing out, that the roots are going to lift better than the rest of my hair, and they will turn out uneven.

Is it possible to tone them so that you can't tell a big difference between the roots and the rest?

when you start showing roots you can die it to a light brown, like the browns of casting creme gloss, which is super and actually makes your hair softer.

in order not to regret it, buy a lot of hair products.. masks, conditioners, sprays, serum...

I definitely plan on buying a higher end shampoo/conditioner to keep my color from turning brassy.

My roots are dark brown anyway, so it would take a while for them to start showing anyway, and by then I can just get the highlights retouched.

I wasn't thinking about the color, I was thinking about the health of your hair
