Hi Ron -

I burnt my arm almost 2 months ago and it left a scar. I have been treating with hydroquinone (obagi clear but you can buy a lower concentration off the shelf like Porcelana). It is gradually fading but it does take some time. I think the most important thing I do is I never go outdoors without applying at least a 30 SPF sunscreen. Scarred/burned skin is more sensitive to the sun and needs extra protection! Good luck and don't worry - almost all superficial scars fade over time!

Best regards, Kathy.

Rosehip oil is supposed to be awesome for scars too! I had forgot about it until I read Linda's comment on bio oil!

sorry, off-topic...i love your avatar kishh! i read that book and can totally relate (my boss isn't bad, but i do work with someone who is like that)! can't wait for the movie to come out!

I've been interested in skin peels for years. I remember when I was about 10 years younger (or maybe even younger than that) I purchased this Reviva light skin peel (it was not effective) to clear up scars I acquired from picking. I'd love any real life experiences from dermatologist applied peels (lactic, glycolic, salicylic, blue peel, whatever lol).

I was once curious about the intensive professional strength peels being marketed online, and quickly changed my mind when hearing how bad things can get if/when you slip up.

I could never recommend these to anyone, it's a scary thought getting a serious burn.

well whenever i get a cut or something, if i'm afraid it'll scar, i'll put neosporin on it. it really does help. also vit. e oil is really good and cocoa butter.

2nd Pure Vitamin E oil. I have a scar from a surgery and that's what the Doc recommended.
