Is it true when you color your hair that hot oil treatments are not good, because it causes the color to fade???

Well I wouldn't do one right after a color. Wait about 1-2 weeks. Go with a color protecting deep conditioner instead. With the oil, the heat can open up the cuticle of the hair and the color can be affected.

I would pay you well he he. But wouldn't the cuticle even open up with the heat no mater when you didn't , and let the color that was left out?? I hope I worded that right. But I really need the oil treatments, or would just deep conditioning be o.k instead of hot oil. I don't particularly like the oil anyway. let me know. Your the best

And yes, heat, sun, chemicals... they all will affect color. It will oxidize on its own naturally, but you can help keep the vibrance of it. Rinse hair in lukewarm water ... and Biolage Cera-repair conditioning tubes work great as a deep conditioner. I'm not sure if a salon near you offers the liquid treatments, but usually Ulta or other beauty supply stores will carry the at-home conditoning tubes. You use an entire tube (mainly on ends) like a regular condtioner, leave it on a few minutes and rinse out. Much better conditioning than a basic conditioner... but won't sacrifice your new color. And if I lived nearby --- I'd gladly be your on-call hair gal!
