Does cowboy magic conditioner and shampoo keep your hair from breaking off??? I had read an earlier post about how good it is, but I would like some more feedback before I purchase it instead of the mane and tail. Which is better???

I used Mane N Tail a long time ago but never heard of Cowboy Magic so I don't know. You've got me all curious now, though.

I used main n tail before, you can buy it at any major dept store in either the Shampoo/Conditioner Isle, or sometimes its with the pet care stuff. It works ok, I didn't like the smell very much.

i've onli heard of mane n tail too, but not anything good about it

I never heard of that shampoo before. I'm currently using Biolance and it works well for me.

ive used mane and tail b4 and love it. i never actually tried cowboy magic but i use their line at work on all our horses and seems like it works good. i might try it out one day.

I love mane and tail! I find that the shampoo gets rid of the dirt in my hair, without stripping my hair's natural oils. I wash my hair first thing when I get in the shower, and leave the conditioner on while I finish everything else. I find that it makes my hair soft. I've never really had a problem with split ends, so I can't comment on that. One thing I love, though, is that it doesn't leave a lot of residue. Most 'human' shampoos I have tried layered my hair with residue so the first few washes it looked great, but afterwards my hair looked dull.

It seems to help keep the hair healthier, therefore resulting in longer hair for me, back when I used it before. My hair was a lot thicker and longer. I have just recently started using is again, so we will see. So far I love it again.

I've used Mane N Tail conditioner and I love it; the only thing is people would think I'm crazy seeing a bottle with horses on it in my bathroom.

it just makes your hair feel clean yet still soft and shiny. i think its got protein in it too so its supposed to make ur hair stronger.

last year i completely fried all of my hair from bleaching it, and i used mane and tail shamp and conditioner, with alot of leave in treatments and it helped my hair out Alot

I tried to buy it the other day, but the only kind i could find had somthing for ticks in it. I dont want th medicated stuff.

Update: I found it at Walmart!!! I justs used it, and it smelled fine. I liked the way it rinsed out too. Now to try it a few times and see what happens.

What sort of leave ins did you use? Were they mane and tail as well. I have seen the detangler and heat protectant by mane and tail. I used the heat protectant, but it had a funny smell that I just couldn't get used to for some reason.

Mane and Tail made my hair feel really dry. Probably too much protein in it for me, I need something more moisturizing.
