About six months ago i was so excited to try my new Clarisonic Mia. 3 weeks ago i started experiencing bad red itchy dry skin on my forehead, sides of my cheeks and my chin. I rarely ever get acne on my forehead or cheeks, especially itchy red bumps that are dry. i don't even think it was acne. My skin may haven been experiencing a bad reaction from the brush i have been using. after i stopped using it, slowly the red bumps are going away. If anyone else experienced this please tell me your story.

(please click on photo to enlarge). My forehead was worse before. i never break out like this!

I've never seen anything like it. Have you changed your brush head? Or maybe it needs disinfecting? It could also be a problem, not caused by Clarisonic, but aggravated by it. I've used mine for a long time and never experienced that! I'm glad to hear its getting better! So bizarre!

i know! Yes i did change the brush head, and i always washed it after i was finished. Also i made sure to put the cover on after i was done. Now that i stopped using the clarisonic, the red bump are slowly fading!  i may have been too rough on my skin with it, maybe that's why i broke out.

Which brush head do you use? I do know when I bought mine, I talked to a rep for another skin care line (I was at Sephora, FWIW) and she warned me that when she got hers, she didn't notice any purging or breakouts until she'd been using it for several weeks - maybe 4-6 (I can't remember what she actually said as this was in February). I also followed her instructions for starting to use it - I started with using it only once a week, then moved to twice, etc. I only use mine a few times a week, never every day as my skin is somewhat sensitive and know my skin couldn't handle it. All that said, I don't believe that there is a single product out there that is perfect for everyone. I know that lots of people love their Clarisonic, but that doesn't mean it is made for you.
