Yesterday I went to color my hair black and put some high lights in it. Well the high lights I wanted to put didn't really work out so my stylist put toner on it but the highlights came out to be light red and I don't really like them so I want to color my hair myself and get rid of the highlights does anybody know if i'll ruin my hair by doing it now or should i wait at least some time? Thank you guys for your help I would really appriciate it.

I would talk to your colorist... you might need a filler first - then have them re-dyed black. Coloring right over it might work, but sometimes you'll see that the highlighted areas will oxidize faster and come out almost a red-auburn/brown

I went and got my hair dyed black with white highlights, and the highlighted part turned out Club Cracker box yellow. I was not very happy. I went back into the salon and they fixed it free of charge. Call and tell her that you are not happy with the way it turned out. If you spend good money like that, it should turn out the way that you want it to.

Definitely go back to the salon and let them know you're unhappy. Most times they will fix it free of charge. At least the salon I worked in, and others I've been to, do it.

It sounds like the color wasn't lifted completely out. It's very hard to get black to a normal color in one processing. Usually it requires a couple times. Black is just so concentrated that it rarely lifts to more than a copper color in one trial.

I was thinking about it and guys what do you think if I'll color my hair deep burgundy and leave the red highlights, are they gonna turn into a diffrent color or they will match my color and thank you guys for all of your help.

If the color you want to dye it is darker than your highlights then it will probably dye them too. You might have slightly lighter highlights than the rest of your hair but I think it depends on the dye you use.
