Hey guys, I had a quick question. I'm using the aphogee protein treatment right now under a dryer and I was wondering if I can shampoo afterwards because last time just rewetting and getting the protein out didn't seem to do a great deal of good. It only stopped the breakage for about a week, and upon drying right after it felt thick, as if it had a lot of buildup in it.

Can I shampoo/condition afterwards or will that negate all the treatment I just did? Thanks for the help!

Just want to make sure, you're using the 2 step treatment right?

Yes I am... I did try it with the shampoo and it didn't seem to make much difference on the ends, but the rest is definitely moving more freely than last time. I will have to just bite the bullet and get a trim by the end of the week and continue with the maintenance every now and then with the treatment.

Have you used it before? What are your experiences?

I haven't, but I worked at Sally Beauty and lots of people didn't realize it was a two step treatment.

For some people it is a miracle treatment, for others, they have the same experience as you, nice for a little while, but no lasting results.

After using a protein, you hafta do a moisturizer. Deeeeeep moisturizer. Just cuz sometimes the protein can make yr hair brittle.

Thanks for the input ladies

I appreciate it. I don't think the moisturizer they sell with it is as good as say, a hair mayonnaise or mask, but it worked okay.
