Hello everyone. I am new to this site. I will like to learn the art of make up and hopefully enter into the make up industry.

Since I was younger I was always into wearing make up. I absolutely LOVE lipstick. I used to wear it on a regular basis when I was younger, and I was starting to wear mascara, and eye liner but I was not allowed to wear it. Sometimes I snuck and did it anyway lol. I am in my late twenties and have been off and on with make up. I love bold color lipsticks. I love bold dramatic looks. I also love warm colors and warmer looks, but I am more interested in bold looks. I am looking to change industries.

I tried building up my make up collection last year, but I became discouraged because I just couldn't put on eye shadow properly. I visited a couple of MAC stores and tried to learn to apply make up, but I think I need to just work with what I have before branching out. I only have some lipsticks, and a coastal scents warm palette for now to work with. I don't wear lipsticks all the time, but I plan to start doing it. Within the next three months, I plan to have a basic understanding of how to wear eyeliner, mascara and use eye shadow. Within the next six months I want to be able to blend colors, learn foundation and apply blush. I lack funding to purchase an entire collection in one day so I have to gradually learn. I feel there is so much to learn and I don't want to get overwhelmed so quickly. When I do look at the tutorials, I do get overwhelmed because I want to already know how to do it.

Eventually, I would like to land a job at a make up counter. Even if it is freelance.

I thought a bout entering the industry years ago by learning how to do makeup. I did some research and I couldn't afford Make Up school. So I gave up. After doing more research I learned I didn't need to go to school to get into this business. Regardless, I still want to be more creative with my look and wear make up.

Thanks!
