I was born with blonde hair... which went red... which has faded to a somewhat sad medium auburn. Which I dye dark audburn/medium brown.

Has your natural haircolor faded as you've aged? What do you do to it now?

I was naturally light blonde till age 14 or so I think, then it gradually got darker to a mousey, ashy dark blonde. The kinda of color that´s actually not a real color lol

I was getting highlights for years, it always looked pretty natural. But just a few weeks ago I went brunette and I love it. I feel like it fits me better than the blonde hair

Yep, mine definitely did. I had very dark hair, with auburny bits in it when I was younger. In my thirties it really lost all the auburny bits and the last couple of years it started also getting greys. The main thing I noticed though was how it had gone from quite a nice dark auburny shade, faded to just a muddy brown. My dark hair seemed to lose the reddish tints in it as I aged, which made it look very flat brown.

It is one reason why I now color the whole lot.

I dye mine so obviously what I see is not my natural hair colour but when my roots come through it does seem like they're a lot lighter. I have black hair naturally and now when my roots show they seem more dark brown.

I cant even remember what my natural colour is....thats how long i've been colouring my hair!!

Faded and greying.. But I color my hair so I don't even remember what the original color looks like! Lol

I had really light blonde hair until I was like 11, then like Andi's mine started to go an ashy blonde. I could never get back to my natural colour 'cause it's been dyed so much.

No gray hairs yet. I haven't ever dyed my hair but it's always just been dark brown. In the light you can see the natural brown highlights I have but nothing special lol

my sister's hair was white blonde, and then when she was 6 it faded to green and brown at the same time, and then it turned red. i blame it on chlorine, and she couldn't take the brassy red so she went burgundy when she was like 11,maybe 12,i did too. it was fun for me,but not satisfying, she's a total scene queen so she loooooooves the burgundy colour still.

I'm not sure...

My natural hair seems the same it's always been, where the roots are, but I do colour it. Either I put a bit of red in, or at the moment, it's slightly lighter than my natural colour. I really need to get a trim and a treatment though, it's looking mangy, LOL

My real hair over the years went from dark brown to black and now there is some grey

Thats your natural colour? No highlights? I'm pretty impressed if thats the case...blondes almost always get ashy as they age (unless you have white blonde hair) but your hair seems a golden colour

in natural sunlight my hair looks lighter, and it does have ash undertones but it is light enough that it does not look like "dishwater blonde" or "dirty blonde"

and nope no dye has touched this hair the last time i dyed my hair was 2 years ago, and that was just the underside of my bangs so that has been gone for quite some time.

i think it also helps that even in the winter my hair gets lighter due to the sun so that keeps things nice and light, i am sure if i stayed indoors more it would be darker, and ashier.

Thats pretty awesome, I don't think I have a single, naturally blonde client!! Infact i'm sure i dont lol

Yeah I have natural brown hair, and I noticed that it isnt as nice as it used to be. Im guessing because it is seriously dry and damaged. But all the shine is gone, and you used to be able to tell I had different tones of natural lowlights in my hair (shades or redish, blondish mized in with the light and dark brown) now it looks poopish brown lol

And think about how much blonde hair you see every day. It's ALL FAKE.

(not that there's anything wrong with fake, of course!)

I had blonde hair as a child and then as I got older it turned into a mousy blonde colour. I have been colouing my hair for years and years, right now it's a quite a light blonde, a lot lighter than the colour I've got in my avatar.
