Will hair thickeners make my hair greasy, or will it add volume?

All the ones I've tried did make my hair get more oily than usual. I just don't see a difference no matter what hair products I tried - or how much money I would spend on them. Now - I just use Suave shampoo and conditioner. It's cheap, it smells good, and it leaves my hair clean and fresh. About 2x a week I use Sami (I think that's the name of the brand, but don't quote me on it) volumizing shampoo/cond., but it's too much to use every day. Oh and the Suave that I use is Suave naturals, ocean breeze.

Sorry, I don't honestly know. I tend to have dry hair, so oils are almost welcomed in my hair!

It depends. I wouldn't mind greasy ones because my hair is naturally kinda dry. I am sure that there are brands out there just perfect for you.

I use Kiehl's super thick volumizer and tend to have an oily scalp and find that it doesn't make my hair greasy. It does give some volume. I've tried Bumble and Bumble thickening spray and find that it also doens't leave my hair greasy but doesn't give me volume.
