I don't know if this would be considered a heat protector, but I use Chi Silk Infusion. That stuff is awsome. I've been flat ironing my hair for over three years and it's very healthy.

Based on what you said in your PM question to me, I would probably suggest going with a serum. The best one I've tried to date for thermal protection is called Cherry Bomb...its heat activated. I use my flat iron to curl my hair (like how it is in my avatar pic) and I make sure the ends of my hair have some Cherry Bomb on them otherwise they will fry. Be careful with serums though....not all serums provide thermal protection and often times will damage the hair even further if used with heat (think of how you cook....oil and heat!). Alternatively, if the ends of your hair are damaged beyond repair, I would suggest getting a trim them purchasing a thermal protector. Another favourite of mine is Rusk Thermal Str8 Glaze...adds a ton of protection and acts as a treatment while you flat iron.
