Ohayder xD

I joined the cross country team this year and have two hour practices every day except Saturday and Sunday. I was wondering how often I should was my hair...it's very thick and kind of wavy; doesn't get overly oily unless I go three or four days without washing it (those are days without running, by the way xD). I also have a lot of issues with frizz and poofiness, and if my hair gets too dry it worsens.

PS- if it makes any difference, I use Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Pin Straight shampoo and conditioner (long name, right? xD) and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. (Both of these I highly recommend.) Since I take showers at night, I rarely blow dry my hair, but I flat iron it in the morning.

So, any advice?

I know you shouldn't wash your hair everyday, but if I was exercising vigorously, I think I would want to wash my wash everyday anyway.

If you do decide to skip a day, you can try using dry shampoos in between, but I think that's mostly to pick up oil, which oyu don't really have a problem with.

I would be washing it on the evenings after I ran. I know I don't bother to wash my hair in the evening if I know I'll be running the next morning. Running seems to add grease to my hair. Funny but true!

Hopefully I don't sound too uneducated, but what's a "dry" shampoo?

"dry" shampoo usually comes in spray can and when you spray it in on roots of you hair, it changes into powder form. You would need to brush your hair after spraying. Dry shampoo is used only on dry hair. (for e.g. "klorane dry shampoo")

yeah. i would recommend washing your hair every time you run.. i hate the feeling of not doing so..
