I have asked this before a long time ago, but wanted to see if there were any new opinions. I wear clip in extensions. They do not break my hair, and I don't have any thin spots or anything, but my hair just seems so thin lately. Would wearing them cause this?? Sometimes I wear human hair, and sometimes synthetic. There has to be some reason my hair has gotten thinner. Although I haven't had a perm for a long time. I love my extensions, but sometimes I would love to wear my own hair length, but I have no volume to work with. Thanks

Yes the extensions are probably thinning your hair out. When you add extensions, especially with clips, you are adding extra tension and weight that your hair is not naturally used to.

Since you want to work with your own hair, maybe you can try some half updos. That way you can show your length and your hair will still be healthy and the updo will create the illusion of volume.

The only thing is I never see hair falling out or anything, other than a few that naturally fall out. So how can it be thinning? When I comb my hair, there is no breakage or anything like that.

Your hair may just be naturally thinning or maybe if you took hair growth supplements for awhile that may help. Pre-natal vitamins are excellent for this purpose and their available over the counter now.

I have been taking some purvana capsule.I have just started those recently. Hope they help. Thanks so much

I take Biotin for my hair and it has helped some. I don't wear extensions, but i've wanted to.

hair extensions are nt that good. I just read an article on a newspaper lately. I would suggest you gals to grow and maintain your hair and use curlers or whatever to style it. In fact, i am growing mine. And ever since i started caring for my hair. I find my hair is beautiful with no extensions at all. I will pose a thread soon on which is the best extension. Have a nice day

Ive been wearing hair extensions on and off for 2 years now as i have very fine hair with no volume.

I get the weaves in, dosent break my own hair and there is no weight on my hair either.

Cornrows are plaited to my scalp and then wefts of hair are sewn onto these, so when taking them out you just have to cut the threads and undo the braid.

Very simple and very cheap :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

A few questions, was your hair fine before you started wearing the weaves? Does your own hair grow with the corn rows? How often do you redo them? Sorry so many questions, I have just always wondered about the cornrow method. I dont' think I have enough hair to even make a cornrow lol. How many wefts to they put in your hair??
