I've been addicted to hair dye since 7th grade. I've been just about every colour there is, literally

I NEED something to heal my hair. It is completely fried and I'm too impatient to grow it out! Anything will do. Please help!

I'm sorry to say most of the time the damage is permenant. I too abused my hair with color so I just went and got cut short. I've learnt my lesson now :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

When I over process, like after bleaching, I will use temporary or semi perm colors so I don't do anymore damage untill it grows out. I to have been coloring my hair since 7th grade and have been many colors. It's just something I like to do. It keeps people guessing and I can play with different looks. I really don't know of any products that will fix it though. Good luck!

get a protein treatment, good moisturizing cond. and reg. trimmings, at least once every 6 weeks. or you could also get a cute shorter cut and/or demi permanent color.

Unfortunately, patience is what it's going to take as well as a good hair care regimen. I used to over process my hair between relaxing and coloring it. Eventually I had to lay off the color and stop using so many heating tools to try to strengthen it and get it back to a sense of a healthy state. I recommend using HealthySexyHair shampoo, conditioner and leave-in treatment. In conjunction, make sure you're getting your ends trimmed every 6-8 weeks (or every 4-6). QUIT coloring your hair as well! Find one color close to your natural color, and dye it once. Then stop! Also, if you use the blow dryer a lot (or curling irons and flat irons), then try your best to NOT use them! Air dry your hair first, and then run the blow dryer through it on a low/cool setting. Try to use steam rollers to curl, or flat iron less frequently while using a heat protectant. This has helped me a tremendous amount! My hair is the healthiest it's been in ages, and my split ends aren't anywhere NEAR as bad as they were! Best of luck, and I hope that helped some!

Yeah, I'm growing it out right now. I made everyone close to me promise not to let me dye it lol.

I would cut my hair short, but it's already as short as it will get, respecting my personal wants haha. I don't think I'd feel comfortable cutting it any shorter.

The biggest, unable-to-solve, problem that I have is the fact that I am one of the most impatient people on Earth. So this isn't going to be a happy ride for me >_<

stop dyeing get trims and be PATIENT you will be glad you did!!!

When you see people with white hair because of hair dying so often why dont they just keep doing it then?? Or does it become harder and harder the more you do it and doesnt last as long??

I too have been dying my hair (black), and relaxing it since 9th grade. Now I alternate conditioning it with the deep conditioner Cholesterol, every other wash. After shampooing, I put the Cholesterol on my hair, cover with a plastic cap and a hand towel (that has been soaked in hot water and wrung out) wrapped over it. Lovely results in about 20 mins. Good advice about keeping the hair trimmed...

Ditto!

I stopped hair dyeing for about almost a year now and I'm loving my hair more now.

Yeah.. if that's too difficult, maybe try dyeing your hair in colors that are closer to that of your natural color. But cold turkey's best..

Yup, if that's too difficult, maybe you could ease your hair back to its natural color by dyeing colors closer to that of your natura color..
