Hair advice?

On the left is a pic of me with shorter hair, and the right is longer. my hair is thinning alittle.

would i look better if i got a buzzcut (#2, 3, or 4) which would be shorter than the pic on the left? if so, how short is best?

Well at first I thought.... wow de ja vu. I'm totally been asked this question before. Then I did a little searching and yep I've been asked this before.

So my advice is to do a reverse mohawk. Long on the sides and shorter in the middle, yep that's my advice.

For a second I thought you were a girl and I had an urge to say "Are you crazy?!"

I think you'd probably look better if you got it trimmed to the length in the left picture, but I'm not really an expert on guy's styles. =/

I thought I was going to see some female photos! Caught me off guard.

Since you aren't use to going so short, cut or clip it so you still have a bit of length.

Then you can always go shorter if desired.
